26. The last battle

Peter pov:
"Why are you so hard to kill?" Beck said as he saw me.
"Because the good conquers all."
"Oh really?"
"Just give me the glasses."
"You want these? Come and get them."
Then more drones appeared and they created another illusion.
I sighed.
"Come on spidey sense."
I ran forward and jumped on the drones, also destroyed them and Beck started to fire with them when I was really close, he even hit himself.
The drones were gone and I looked at him.
"You're losing, Beck. Give me the glasses."
He was laying on the ground.
"You're a good person Peter. Such a weakness. Stark was right, you do deserve them." He said as he handed me the glasses.
Then my spidey sense gave me a warning and I grabbed the gun so I wouldn't get shot.
The illusion on the injured Beck disappeared and the real Beck stood next to me.
"You can't trick me anymore." I said.
I took the glasses back and Beck fell down.
"EDITH! Turn off all the drones."
"Scan completed. Welcome back Peter."
"Turn off all the drones!"
"You want me to kill all protocols?"
"Just do it!"
"Confirmed."
All the drones left I sighed.
Beck was laying on the ground and I looked at him.
"Why did you do all of this?"
"You'll see Peter... People need to believe... And nowdays... They believe anything..." and he stopped breathing.
I put EDITH back on.
"Is he...? Is this real?"
"All illusions are down Peter."
So Beck was dead, thanks to his own attack.

I went to check up on Happy and my friends, I stumbled a lot...
Ned saw me and those three ran to me.
"Peter!" They said.
Ned hugged me, I'm sure I heared a rib crack.
"Hey man." I said.
"You saved all of us." Mj said.
"He saved the world." Happy said.
I looked at teh towerbridge... If the fire monster was an illusion, then where the hell was Caitlynn...
"Hey, what's wrong?" Ned asked.
"Nothing... I just hoped that since all of it was an illusion... That-"
"Peter!" A voice said and I turned to see Caitlynn running at me, Fury and Maria stood behind her.
"Caitlynn!" I said as I scopped her into my arms.
She kissed me and I kissed back.
"I thought I'd lost you." I said.
"You almost did. Fury and Maria saved me an hour ago... I'm alive thanks to them."
"What happend?"
"Beck tried to extrac my fire powers, he did with a part of it... Fury and Maria had to destroy that fire extract since they couldn't find a way to get it back inside of me. So now I have 20% of my fire powers. They said with some training it would be back on it's normal level."
"I'm already glad that you're not dead."
Then I saw in the corner of my eye that Ned and Mj were kissing too, Happy walked to Fury and Maria to talk.
"Oh come here." Caitlynn said as she kissed me again.

A few days past and Caitlynn and I went on a date.
"You're gonna love this." I said.
I took her along while swinging.
"I'm just not gonna watch, that you loke swinging like this!" Caitlynn yelled and I grinned.
I put her down after some time and she looked at me.
"Never. Ever. Do that again."
"Promise."
She smiled as she let go of me.
Then her eyes widen as she looked at the news boards.
"Peter...?"
I looked at it too.
The news guy said that a revealing video appeared about Spiderman and Inferno.
"Oh no..."
Beck appeared on the screen.
"I might have been able to kill the elementals but I'm not sure I'm gonna make it alive of this bridge. Spiderman attacked me for some reason. He said he's gonna be the new ironman and no one else... Spiderman works together with Inferno. You need to stop them. Their real names... Their real names are Peter Parker and Caitlynn Monclaire!" Then the video stopped.
"Oh god no..." Caitlynn said.
"What the fu-?!"
