Golden rays peeped through the pure white curtains, shading the monochromatic interior with a warming hue of sweet honey. Melodious chirps composed the harmonious sonata that came as soft jazz, dancing into her ears gracefully.
With his arm lying underneath her neck while another arm resting on her waist, his warmth chased away the coldness in the room that clung to her skin. With her back pressed against his broad chest, her pleasant scent embraced the air of each breath he took.
Safe and secured; just how long it had been since her last snug as a bug in a rug. Cosy and relaxed; just how long it had been since his restful sleep. Perhaps, the most comfortable sleep isn't about the environment but the person that shares the bed.
However, a brief alert tone pulled her back from her deep sleep. The brunette opened her eyes drowsily, and the brightened screen on the side table snatched her attention instantaneously. Staring at the mobile phone for a moment, she parted her hand from his broad palm and outreached to pick up the phone.
