You stand there in front of the ferris wheel, mind totally blank.

Did that just happen? I'm pretty sure that just happened.

You reach up to feel the spot on your face N had touched, except you don't feel anything. You can't really feel anything anywhere, for that matter. You're completely numb.

If you didn't know better, you'd probably just fall over right here and now.

More importantly, how on earth are you going to bring him back to HQ? There's no way you've got the heart now.

"I want to bring back that light, the wonder that shone so brightly."

You can't get that line out of your head for the life of you.

"Rrgh! Come on Y/N! Pull yourself together!" you growl at yourself.

The next day, you decide to go back to HQ in order to clear your head. Colress and everyone else are probably wondering where you are, since you usually at least go to spend the night there when you're not doing Team Plasma-y stuff.

But now you aren't even sure if you should go back, after all N said about them. Of course, N could be lying too, but something about the way he looked at you tells you he wouldn't ever lie to you.

Wait we're not supposed to be thinking about that!

So you fly Unfezant all the way back to the frigate, where Colress is the first to greet you.

He pulls you aside and takes you to his office. "So. You took a while getting back. Anything on N?"

You open your mouth to say yes, but something stops you. It's ridiculous, since the whole point of all this is to find N and bring him back. But last night, it felt like you saw a whole new side of him. But at the same time, it feels like you've always known that side of him, even though you haven't even known him for very long.

"No. I couldn't find him," you say.

Colress raises an eyebrow, but nods and writes something down. "And you're sure, hm? You haven't seen him since Virbank?"

You shake your head.

He lets out a short breath and scribbles another note down. "Alright, Y/N. I have news for you."

"Huh?"

This could be bad. If Colress catches your lie, it could mean biiiiiiiiiig trouble. He could get you kicked out of Team Plasma, but that would be the least of your worries! Sure, Colress is charming and friendly, but oh boy if you get him mad...

His expression remains pleasant, and he hands you a sticky note with the number 0635 written on it. "This is the code to Lord Ghetsis' office. He wishes to see you."

What?? Lord Ghetsis himself?

At your shocked face, he adds, "You're not in any kind of trouble, I can assure you that. Now, hurry along."

You scurry out of Colress' office and head for Ghetsis'.

Ghetsis' office is at the very far end of the frigate, where it's much colder and no other grunt dares to go.

Even as you enter the hallway it's in, you can feel the gazes of the Shadow Triad members on your back. If you were to do anything even slightly suspicious, they would no doubt kill you without a moment's hesitation.

That fact alone is enough to keep any grunt far away.

At the end of the long, nearly freezing hallway, there's a door bearing the Team Plasma logo and a dial pad off to the side.

Hands shaking a little, you input the code written on the sticky note.

0-6-3-5.

The little screen on the dial pad turns green, and the door slides open.

Ghetsis is sitting at his cluttered desk, writing in some sort of journal with utmost precision. The strange monocle over one of his eyes glints in the artificial light, and he looks up when you come in.

"Ah, Y/N. Take a seat." He gestures to one of the chairs in front of his desk.

You sit down, and you know better than to ask why you're there. This is the guy who could literally get you killed if he felt like it.

Ghetsis continues to write, then puts his pen down after a few minutes.

You straighten as he makes eye contact, suddenly feeling quite nervous.

"So, Colress informed me you've been tasked with finding my son." He waits for an answer.

"O-oh, yes. Yes he did."

"And how is that going so far?"

Oh good Arcoos what do you say? You might have gotten away with lying to Colress, but if you lie to Ghetsis and he catches you, it's game over.

This is such a bad idea this is such a bad idea this is such a bad idea this is-

"It isn't going very well, Lord Ghetsis. I don't have very many leads."

He sighs, then stands up and begins pacing around the room. "That's alright. He has been gone for two years. I actually had a second task for you."

The request hangs in the air for a few seconds before he continues.

"I want you to look for something, and if you find it, N is sure to come running." Ghetsis walks over to a large bookshelf in the corner of the room and takes a book out. He shows you a page with a white sphere drawn on it. "This is the Light Stone. I'm sure you've heard of it."

Sure you've heard of it, in legends about the creation of Unova. It's not like it's a real thing.

"I want you to find this. It doesn't matter where you look, just find it."

He explains further that you're expected to find the Light Stone, summon Reshiram, which will lure N out, and then conquer Unova with Reshiram's help.

That seems like a bit of a tall order, but there's no way you can question it.

You say, "Yes, Lord Ghetsis," and stand up to leave the room.

"Before you go, Y/N." Ghetsis sits back down and goes back to writing. "I would recommend looking at Dragonspiral Tower first."

"Yes, Lord Ghetsis." You leave the room, more than ready to be rid of the uncomfortable feeling you get just by being in this corner of the frigate.
