will wandered over towards the other rangers with the stack of paperwork they all glanced at him curiously berrigan laughed "crowley got you doing paperwork" will smiled and raised an eyebrow "acturally i othered" the rangers stared at him, it was quite well known that will and his former mentor hated paperwork "why" berrigan demmanded sucspiciously "oh well he said that he and halt had a bet that none of the other rangers would be able to do a good enouth job then themselves"

"of course crowley also said that the reason he got it all was because he was the smartest in the corps" will lied smoothly the rangers spluttered "crowley, smart, not two words i mix together" berrigan said will shrugged "of course i had to really ask to get him to trust me with them almost beg actually" the rangers sniffed "ha i'll prove that old man wrong" clarke said cheekily will hesitated "well i can't just get you to do it i'm not sure crowley would like that" he said fake hesitantly "look i'll give you my mams pulled pork recipe" clarke said eagerly "well i don't know.." will still seemed to struggle "i'll throw in my new skinning knife" will came to a decision it was working out better then he expected "well okay but you'll have to be careful" he handed over the stack which clarke eagerly took. the others not to be outdone started to hand over bits and pieces from more family racipes to a new quill and travel gear. of course he had to pretend to fix up certain bits and fuss over it but evantually nearly 3/4 of the rangers present had eagerly done some of the paperwork some where even after another go to prove their skills albeit they where mostly the young ones. berrigan silently chuckled watching the small quarrels and eagerness over doing the paperwork will turned to him "i don't know how you actuarly managed to get the others to do all of crowleys paperwork but if your other ideas and lies were as good as this i know why your a legend" he whispered to will who shot back with an injured expression "i have no idea what your talking about" he sniffed berrigan fully laughed now getting a lot of suscpicious looks his way "just let me know when they work out the truth i wanna watch" with that he moved off still holding his sides with laughter will had to stop himself from joining the one legged ranger instead liam one of the other young rangers came forward proudly with the stack "here will all done now whos the smartest" will grinned at him "good job i'll take it back to crowley now after i've checked for mistakes of course" the others grinned in turn sending cheerful insults his way he took the large stack of parchments and strode back to the command tent doubling over as soon as he was inside.
crowley and halt where sitting in there just talking and looked up as will entered full on laughing. "what happened" they asked will wiped away the tears of merriment and walked over to where the two older rangers where sitting he dropped the big pile onto crowleys lap who grunted at the unexpected weight he looked down amazed "how did you manage to get all this done these are reports from the last 3 months i hadn't even had a chance to look at" he said amazed "oh it was nothing" will replied with false modesty halt looked at his former apprentice one eyebrow raised but before he could say anything crowley exclaimed again "there neat, as in no mistakes at all and is acturally on the lines"
"yes well they may have had a compition to see who was the smartest and neatest"
"they" halt questioned will nodded emphatically "oh yes nearly 3/4 of the rangers paticipated" crowley shook his head in admiration still not fully understanding what the young ranger had done "this is great can you do this all the time" will grinned evilly "oh of course not " he moved to leave he was helping with dinner that night but he turned back "oh and you might expect a few visits" he left before the others could figuare out what he meant!
