Reese's POV...
I was sitting behind my desk in my private office when Rosa the housekeeper called out to me from the other side of the closed door. “Come in Rosa,” I say while putting Alex Alabaster, my business partner, on hold for a brief minute.
“Mr. Choi there's a strange-looking young man at the front door wanting to see Mrs. Choi,” Rosa tells me in a soft voice.
“Alright, I'll be right out to speak to him in just a minute,” I inform her while taking Alex off of hold.
“Alex, can I call you back in a few minutes?” I asked while standing up from my seat.
“Is everything alright Reese?” He questions me in a worried tone.
“Yeah, I believe so. I just need to go and check something out right quick that's all.” I respond.
“Since I need your signature on a couple of documents how about I stop by your house later this afternoon so that we can finish ironing out the details of next week's meeting with Mrs. Haley Carter and her client Jackson Wang,” Alex suggested.
“That sounds like a great idea to me,” I reply.
“I'll most likely stop by around about 7:30 this afternoon then.” I hear him say before he hangs up the phone. Taking my iPhone up off of the desk I speed-dialed August and Mr. Johnson to inform them not to bring Avery home yet.
“Is there a problem at home son-in-law?” Mr. Johnson immediately asked me.
“I'm not sure yet. I'll call you guys to let you know whether it's safe to bring her home or not.” I tell the two before ending the call. I then called my mom and informed her of the same thing with the twins while walking into the living room.
I could hear a somewhat familiar voice speaking loudly to Rosa in an angry tone. “I'm not leaving this house until I see Avery!” I hear a weak voice shriek as I get closer to the foyer.
My temperature rose instantly when I saw the punk-ass bastard from my trip to Negril Jamaica standing at my front door. “I got this Rosa,” I say in a thunderous voice making both her and this weak man-child jump in fear. I could visibly see him trembling when he laid his eyes upon me.
“What in the hell are you doing here?” This suck dared to ask me as if I owed him a damn explanation for me being at my own house.
“The better question is why in the hell are you looking for my wife period?” I countered.
“Hahaha, nice joke.” He says as he continues to laugh hysterically. Grabbing him by his skinny neck I roared again, “why are you looking for my wife and how in the fuck did you find out where we live?”
“That is none… none of your damn business.” He stuttered while trying his best to pry my fingers from around his neck. I wasn't seeing a human being in my clutches at this point. I was seeing a monster that was out to harm my family and that was fueling my desire to get rid of all possible threats to them by any means necessary.
I flung this feeble man child onto the stone walkway with my hand still clenched tight around his neck. Pure rage and hatred were filtering through every fiber of my body. The more he struggled to free himself from my grip the harder I squeezed making him gasp for air.
“Mr. Choi please stop!” Rosa begged from behind me.
“If you value your miserable life I suggest that you stay the hell away from my family,” I demand while slightly loosening my grip but not by much. “Do you understand me?” I asked. I increased the pressure around his neck when he refused to acknowledge that he understood what I was saying.
