I blinked my eyes open as the soft light from my bedside lamp left a bronze-like haze over the room. I groan, sitting up slowly and grabbing the water I always leave on my nightstand, chugging it immediately. I brought my hand to my forehead as I already started to feel hazy. I could hear Ultron's likeness in my head, "The Avengers' extinction." I shot my head up as I thought I heard footsteps, fearing the worst I clenched my fists. When there was no other sound I relaxed. I cracked my back and rubbed my eyes to wake up.

"JARVIS, what happened?"

No response.

"JARVIS?"

Again, nothing. Perhaps Tony was talking with him. I yawned, standing up slowly and walking to my mini-fridge to grab another water. I chugged the bottle yet again and stepped out of my room. As I stepped into the halls I noticed it was much colder and somehow quieter than my room. How odd. Then I realized no one was with me when I awoke. Even more odd. Usually, someone is watching over me. I took probably ten steps before falling to my knees, hearing Ultron's words repeating in my head as my breath quickened and I became dizzier. I stood up, leaning against the wall as I walked back to my room to lay down for a bit longer. As I entered my room I felt a little warmer and the bronze haze returned to my eyes. I sighed, walking in and sitting on the edge of my bed.

"JARVIS, I could really use some help right now."

I waited and got no response yet again. That's weird... JARVIS usually responds to me immediately. If he isn't that means Tony must be having quite the conversation with him. I roll my eyes and drank some more water before standing. I stood slowly to try and stay upright and it worked. I headed down the hall looking for anyone. As I walked I called to JARVIS a few times with no response each time I called out to him. I checked just about everywhere before heading to the labs, as I approached I heard the team talking. I sighed softly and walked in, catching the end of the conversation.

"How were you guys planning on beating that?"

"Together."

"We'll lose."

"And we'll do that together too."

I took a silent breath, what have I walked in on? Maybe I should leave... but I should probably be filled in on what happened.

"Thor's right, Ultron's calling us out. And I'd like to find him before he's ready for us. The world's a big place, let's start making it smaller."

I swallow, wondering just what occurred here that left this heaviness in the air. Steve looked around and made eye contact with me, I sank into myself as I stepped out of the room, Steve following soon after.

"You alright?"

"I'm alive, that's all that matters. What happened in there?"

"Well, long story short we have ourselves a murder bot that Tony and Bruce created."

"Give me the long story Steve. I want to know everything. Ulton's in my head, his words on a loop. I need to know what we're up against."

Steve nods, leading me away from the labs and to the living area where we sit and talk. "Ultron got into our files, deleted just about everything, and probably knows everything there is to know about the team. He used the internet as an escape and has most likely made it to another body by now. He also took the scepter. Ultron wants us dead, more than that even, extinct. Right now we need to work on finding and destroying him before he gets anything else done."

I take a deep breath, blinking a bit as I sip on my water. I nod as I look around, processing everything I just heard.

"Who was talking to JARVIS? He wasn't responding to me."

"JAR- Oh... right... Remember Ultron said he killed someone?"

My eyes shot open, I started to slightly hyperventilate as I realized JARVIS was gone. "N-no..."

"Unfortunately... yes... I'm sorry (Y/N)."

"No... no no no!" My eyes turned and I looked up at Steve, his eyes widened and he scooted away from me slightly.

"Y-your eyes, (Y/N)..."

"What about them?"

"They're... they're black."

I sighed, trying my best to calm down. My eyes haven't turned black in such a long time and I don't want the team to fear me. I calmed myself as a few tears found themselves on a journey down my cheeks and onto the couch. I felt arms around me and I quickly wrapped my arms around Steve, holding him tightly. I had always had a strong connection to JARVIS. We were friends... or as close of friends as a mutant and an A.I. can be. I pulled back and stared into Steve's eyes, I felt my eyes turn again and Steve swallowed. I'm guessing they turned black again. As I spoke my next line my voice was deeper, corrupted by rage.

"I'll rip Ultron apart. I'll destroy his every being... He will pay for this."

This feeling of being so strong and unstoppable felt amazing. It felt like unlimited power, as if I was being fueled by something. Something that fed my powers and made me stronger in every sense. I stood up and walked away, I didn't feel dizzy anymore, I didn't feel anything except an undeniable rage and need for destruction. I heard footsteps behind me and I just kept walking, but Steve caught up to me. He grabbed my arm and pulled me back. I quickly gripped his wrist and threw him back with my telekinesis. I was able to access all my powers while in this mindset. I didn't want anything else, just destruction. Ulton's destruction to be exact.
