I felt frozen. I couldn't open my eyes or move for a bit, but I could hear the soft beeps of the heart monitor and footsteps further away. I... I'm alive? But, how? I most definitely should be dead... But I guess now wasn't my time. I opened my eyes slowly, knowing the bright lights of the medical floor would literally blind me. I barely opened my eyes and had to shut them instantly; the lights were far too much for me. I grumbled, rolling on my side to try and be more comfortable, but as I did I heard a crack and I yelped out in pain. I jumped, sitting up quickly and my eyes shot open. As I did, I heard JARVIS starting up.

"It's alright, (Y/N). You simply cracked the IV needle."

"That's not exactly alright, JARVIS."

"I'll call in a nurse."

Then I heard some heavy footsteps approaching rather quickly. It was Steve and Tony, rushing to my side.

"You alright?"

"As JARVIS claims, yes."

"Good work, JARVIS."

I sighed at Tony's remark and looked up at Steve confused. He started to explain what happened to me as a nurse came in to extract the broken needle from my arm. Apparently, Thor flew me into the air, but we were knocked away from each other. As I fell he caught me, but dropped me after I screamed, leading Tony to catch and bring me down safely.

"The nurses claim that everything is alright and no major injuries, but you were really dehydrated."

"That can't be... When Thor caught me, it sounded like every bone in my body shattered."

"Well, I'm sure they would've seen that in the x-rays. The doctors claimed nothing is wrong."

I shook my head as I looked down at my blanket-covered legs, something must have broken... What was that sound if not the breaking of bones? I frowned, telling Tony and Steve to leave, calling JARVIS in after they left.

"Yes, (Y/N)?"

"Play me the audio log while I was unconscious."

"Alright, one moment."

I sat against the edge of the now upright doctor's bed as JARVIS played back the audio from when I was brought in. It was a doctor and two nurses.

"She seems fine. Absolutely nothing is wrong with her."

"Something has to be wrong, doctor. There has to be a reason why she knocked out, right?"

"She is extremely dehydrated. Get her a fluid IV."

"Right away."

There were footsteps walking out of the room.

"Doctor, something has to be wrong. You can smell blood when you're near her."

"Jacobs, I checked the x-rays, I checked the scans, I checked the MRI. Nothing is wrong in her body. I agree, it's weird, but no bones are broken. Nothing is wrong with her organs, nothing... nothing is wrong."

There was some heavy breathing and mumbling from the doctor.

"She's actually in perfect condition..."

"That's all of it, (Y/N)."

"That's so strange... I could've sworn my bones shattered when Thor caught me."

"Well, clearly not, as you're sitting up and alive. If your bones were shattered, you'd have been dead in seconds."

"I suppose... Can you scan me JARVIS?"

"I can, please lay down."

I moved to lay down and heard the whirring of JARVIS's scanner. He processed the scan for a moment and spoke out.

"Everything is good, although it seems you are still dehydrated, which is odd considering you've had two fluid IVs."

"That is odd... maybe that's why I knocked out. Am I safe to go, JARVIS?"

"I believe so, I'll contact the doctor to be sure."

After a few minutes, the doctor walked in. He checked my arm and nodded after turning it a bit.

"I'd say you're good to go. Just drink some water, alright?"

"Sure thing. Thank you."

I stepped off the doctor's bed and the doctor gave me some clothes so I didn't walk around the tower in the gown. I changed once he left, leaving the gown on the bed, and walked out, heading to the elevator. I got in and clicked the living quarters floor. As the elevator moved, I felt extremely dizzy. I almost felt like I was going to pass out.

"Hey JARVIS."

"Yes?"

"Is there anyone in the living quarters?"

"Clint and Bruce are in the kitchen."

"Please tell them to come to the elevator and bring water. I feel really dizzy."

"Right away."

I took some deep breaths, only worsening my dizziness as I rose in the elevator. As it dinged I felt myself swaying a bit. I walked out, Clint and Bruce waiting for me with a water bottle.

"Hey, you okay?"

"Just... really dizzy."

That was all I could get out before passing out, falling into a pair of arms as everything went silent and pitch black.
