Pietro heads off on his own path and I deal with the stray bots as I head to the main part of the city. I come up to the bridge just as Tony calls out over coms and a bot comes flying in, pushing Steve back.

"Cap, you got incoming."

"Incoming already came in."

I rip the bot apart and deal with a couple strays as they approach.

"Stark, you worry about bringing the city back down safely. The rest of us have one job; tear these things apart. You get hurt, hurt 'em back. You get killed, walk it off."

I roll my eyes and head into the city to keep people away from the bots, using my seclusion to keep big groups safe as bots try to approach them, switching their attention to me. A raging Hulk makes his way through the city as I continue dealing with strays. Strays quickly turn into bigger and bigger groups. Thor, Nat, and Steve make their way into the center, dealing with the bigger groups of bots. I head away, dealing with strays that approach other groups of people just as a truck explodes into flames next to me. I continue dealing with strays and small groups throughout the city.

"Alright, we're all clear here."

"We are not clear! We are very not clear here!"

"Alright, coming to you."

I rejoin the group, continuing to deal with the bots as they come. It almost seems like it'll never stop. Slowly but surely, the wave cools down and we finish with the bots that were there. I stand tall, taking a deep breath, and enjoying my second of calm.

"The next wave's gonna hit any minute. What have you got, Stark?"

"Well, nothing great. Maybe a way to blow up the city. That'll keep it from impacting the city if you guys can get clear."

"I asked for a solution; not an escape plan."

"That might be all we get at this point, Cap."

I call out to him and he looks back at me. I shrug and motion with my head. He nods back slowly.

"Impact radius is getting bigger every second. We're going to have to make a choice."

"Cap, these people are going nowhere. If Stark finds a way to blow this rock..."

"Not till everyone's safe."

"Everyone up here versus everyone down there? There's no math there."

"I'm not leaving this rock with one civilian on it."

"I didn't say we should leave."

Steve and I both look over at her in disbelief and shock.

"There are worse ways to go. Where else am I going to get a view like this?"

Nat looks out over the clouds as Steve continues to stare. I take a deep breath. She may be right.

"Glad you like the view, Romanoff. It's about to get better."

I look out with Nat and Steve as the Helicarrier breaches the cloud's surface. Pietro runs over, looking out at the view before us.

"Nice, right? I pulled her out of the mothballs with a couple of old friends. She's dusty, but she'll do."

"Fury, you son of a bitch."

"Oooh! You kiss your mother with that mouth?"

I snicker and Steve turns to look back at me. I open my mouth and stick my hands up in defense and he rolls his eyes, turning back as the helicarrier released smaller carriers.

"This is SHIELD?"

"This is what SHIELD's supposed to be."

"This is not so bad."

I smirked at Pietro. He looked back at me smiling. I looked over at Steve and we nodded to each other.

"Let's load 'em up."

I went back with Steve as the carriers planted themselves at the sides of the rock, securing themselves in place and lowering their gates. Ready for people. We all ran back with tons of people, loading them onto the carriers and making sure everyone was safe. Steve talked to one of the guards in the carrier. I stepped back watching everything happen as I got hit with a wave of dizziness.

"Not now, dammit!"

I shook my head and, when I opened my eyes again, all I saw was destruction, returning to my previous dream where Ultron won. But, even then, Vision stopped him. Which means we'll win, we have to. My vision clears and I'm back in the land of the living as Steve approaches me.

"Thor, I got a plan!"

"We're out of time. They're coming for the core."

"Rhodey, get the rest of the people on board that carrier."

"On it."

"Avengers, time to work for a living."

We all head to the church where I meet up with Vision while taking out a few stragglers. He looks at me surprised. I tilt my head in confusion and he shakes his head.

"Another time."

"Romanoff? You and Banner better not be playing 'hide the zucchini'."

"Relax, shell-head. Not all of us can fly."

Nat comes rolling up to the party and joins us as we circle around the core. Now, this will be fun.
