I open my eyes, my vision still slightly blurry and everything still spinning. I sat up slowly, using my arm to support myself and using the other to rub the sleep from my eyes. I took a deep breath and started to hear some commotion coming from somewhere nearby - the lab. I stood up, immediately dropping to my knees, as I let out a heavy breath. There's no way I can walk like this. I need to wait until the room, at least, slows down. There was a gunshot. I grunt, forcing myself to stand, leaning against the wall to keep balanced. I take a deep breath and start walking, slowly pushing off the wall to make my way to the labs.

"Well, not my best wake-up call."

I chuckle to myself and slowly make my way to the labs. All that roamed my mind was JARVIS calling out my name and Ulton's words on a loop. My eyes started feeling heavy and I dropped to my knees once again. I forced my body to heal using my powers and stood up slowly, walking to the labs. I made my way inside, staying pretty hidden as I didn't want to disrupt whatever was going on. I walked in as all hell broke loose. Tony and Steve flying in opposite directions and Wanda pushing Bruce back. I felt my eyes shift and I went to push Wanda away as Thor slid in next to me. All eyes on him as he jumps onto the cradle.

"Oh no..."

I let the quiet words fall from my mouth and Wanda looked over to me. Thor raised his hammer, summoning quite the amount of lightning, for what I'm not sure just yet. Bruce runs up, stopping just a bit away, screaming out to Thor.

"Wait!"

But Thor didn't listen, he aimed his hammer at the cradle, charging it... overcharging it. I took a step back as did Wanda, but unlike her, I ran out of the room as the beeping of the monitors got more and more frantic. I didn't want to see anything I wasn't ready for or meant to. Maybe I should run back to my room. I took a deep breath and did just that. I sprinted down the hall, not even caring that my vision was blurring. Then, there was an explosion and the sound of glass shattering. I froze on the spot. My dizziness was gone... Ultron's words stopped, my vision was clear, and I stood tall. Whatever just happened in there stopped it all... but why? I turned around, staring into the window of the lab, but from where I was, I couldn't see anything, so I made my way back into the lab being mindful of the glass. I stood at the door, staying hidden as Thor threw someone through the window just a bit away from me. All I saw was a blur of red as I snaked my way into the lab to hide. Steve jumped down as Thor stood up, both seeming ready for just about anything.

I stared past them, looking at the being that came out of the cradle. It looks exactly like the thing from my dream... an android like being. It stared out the window or at itself in the glass. I couldn't take my eyes off it, nor could the team. Thor placed his hammer down, Bruce came down from where Wanda had pushed him, Pietro came to stand next to Wanda, and Steve and Clint walked forward. I stayed hidden, still not believing what my eyes were seeing. I took some deep breaths to stay as calm as possible as the android came back to the group.

"I'm sorry, that was... odd. Thank you."

Thor took a deep breath, staring at the android as it materialized a cape for it... himself.

"Thor, you helped create this?"

"I've had a vision. A whirlpool that sucks in all hope of life and at its center is that."

He points to the gem in the android's forehead, I stare at it for a moment and find myself... being almost called to it. For a reason unknown, I get lost within it as the team continues to talk around me.

"What...the gem?"

"It's the Mind Stone. It's one of the six infinity stones; the greatest power in the universe, unparalleled in its destructive capabilities."

"Then, why would you-"

"Because Stark is right."

"Oh, it's definitely the end times."

I roll my eyes, completely agreeing with Bruce. I break my eye contact with the stone and shift my attention to the eyes of the android before me. They are the same as the ones from my vision and just as hypnotizing.

"The Avengers cannot defeat Ultron."

"Not alone."

"Why does your 'vision' sound like JARVIS?"

"We... we reconfigured JARVIS's matrix to create something new."

"I think I've had my fill of new."

"You think I'm a child of Ultron?"

"You're not?"

"I'm not Ultron. I'm not JARVIS. I am... I am."

"I looked in your head and saw annihilation."

Now that caught my attention. I looked over at Wanda and Pietro, thinking back to what they did to my team. Then, looking back at the android.

"Look again."

"Yeah. Her seal of approval means jack to me."

"Their powers, the horrors in our heads. Ultron himself, they all came from the Mind Stone, and they're nothing compared to what it can unleash. But with it on our side-"

"Is it?" Steve turned to face the android, "Are you?"

I tried to make eye contact with him, but he didn't see me. I took a deep breath, ready for chaos to break loose depending on the android's answer.

"On our side?"

"I don't think it's that simple."

I rolled my eyes, thinking that it better get simple or chaos is going to ensue in the tower.

"Well, it better get simple real soon."

That's what I thought, I smiled to myself.

"I am on the side of life; Ultron isn't. He will end it all."

"What's he waiting for?"

"You."

"Where?"

"Sokovia. He's got Nat there, too."

"If we're wrong about you, if you're the monster Ultron made you to be..."

"What will you do?"

I smirk to myself; we would destroy him, but it dawned on me that we just created something more powerful than Ultron and we can't even destroy him. Let's hope that this guy is on our side so we don't have even more problems.

"I don't want to kill Ultron. He's unique and he's in pain. That pain will roll over the Earth, so he must be destroyed. Every form he's built, every trace of him on the net, we have to act now and not one of us can do it without the others. Maybe I am a monster. I don't think I'd know if I were one. I'm not what you are, and not what you intended, so there may be no way to make you trust me, but we need to go."

He picks up Thor's hammer, offering it to Thor. The room is quiet, deadly so. I gulp softly and stand from my hiding place, looking around the room, eyes landing back on the android as Thor takes his hammer from him. The android walks to the door, stopping only to make eye contact with me. I smile and we walk out together.
