"What's the drill?"
"This is the drill: If Ultron gets a hand on the core, we lose."
I nod and stare up at Vision once more as Hulk joins us around the core. He smiles at me and I tilt my head again. Ultron flies up in front of us and we all shift our attention to him.
"Is that the best you can do?!"
Thor... never ask that question! I drop my head in my hand as I hear mechanical whirring ahead of me. I look up at an absolute army of robots. I sigh and crack my knuckles.
"You had to ask."
"This is the best I can do. This is exactly what I wanted. All of you, against all of me. How could you possibly hope to stop me?"
"Like the old man said, Together."
Hulk roars and the fight commences. The battle was rough; bot parts were flying everywhere as we all took out the ones approaching us. I used my telekinesis mostly as there wasn't much of a purpose for seclusion. I was shot past my side, my shoulder, and on my leg. Blood loss was quite the enemy, but I couldn't focus on my healing because I had to focus on telekinesis so much more. I started getting dizzy and continuing the fight was hard, but I wasn't one to give up in the slightest. As the battle settled a bit, I noticed my condition only worsened. At this point, I had lost a lot of blood and healing wasn't easy. I gripped at my side where the blood loss was strongest, healing it slowly.
"We gotta move out. Even I can tell the air is getting thin. You guys get to the boats. I'll sweep for stragglers and be right behind you."
"What about the core?"
"I'll protect it. It's my job."
The team heads out and I try to join Steve in the sweep. He turns to me, extending his hand for me to take as I nearly collapse.
"Get yourself on the boats. You're not fit to fight anymore."
"I can, Steve. I'll help with the sweep."
"You literally almost collapsed just now. Go."
I nodded, but refused to get on the boat. I headed in the other direction. I'd gladly sweep myself. Vision lands in front of me, grabbing my hand and slowly directing me back to the ships. I refused to move and he stared into my eyes.
"Steve can deal with the stragglers. You must get on a ship. You're hurt and you need to focus on healing."
I open my mouth to retaliate and he simply closes it, pointing to the ships. I sigh heavily, tugging his arm so he would walk me there as even standing was becoming difficult. We approached the boats and I pulled Vision down to me. He looked concerned.
"Please, get on the boats."
"We'll see each other at the end, right?"
"You have my word."
I smirk, dragging him down to me and smashing my lips against his. He didn't fight back or move; he melted against it, wrapping his arms around me and holding me tightly. I pulled back slightly and smiled as he did.
"What did you want to tell me back by the core?"
"You're a lot stronger than you seem."
"I get that a lot."
He chuckles. We share another quick kiss as I board the carrier, sitting, and buckling myself in, waiting for us to take off. I shift my eyes, trying to heal, but because of how weak I was, it wasn't as efficient. All I know is, I'm making it out of here alive. I will see him again. He said it himself.
