"They're here!" Ginny's voice sounds in a excited shout as she pulls the front door of the burrow open at 9am on Christmas Day.

"Em, you will never believe the letter Dean Thomas sent me!" She gushes pulling me into a tight hug

"Tell me everything!" I grin widely

"There'll be plenty of time for that later," Uncle James groans, turning to greet Ginny as we all enter the house.

Molly is waiting in the kitchen, a wide grin on her face as she happily greets us all before turning to me.

"Oh Emily, come here dear and tell me everything," she grins happily opening her arms, I gladly accept her warm hug and let her usher me into the living room. She sits on the sofa next to me, the pile of presents under the tree glistening in the fairy lights from the tree.

The rest of the group laugh and talk happily. Bill, Charlie, Percy and Arthur having come down stairs to join them.

"How are you Molly?" I question politely

"I'm well, I just need all the details about you and my son. You know I always knew he liked you and I was so hopeful you would get together, you're just so perfect for each other," she gushes. Once again the familiar pang of guilt hits me but I send her a bright smile.

"Fred is great. He's a lovely guy, but you know that of course," I laugh lightly

"Course I do. I must say though I was surprised to hear he had managed to bag a girl as beautiful and kind as you. So, tell me, how did it happen?" She asks, her grin still wide

"Jesus, give my girl a minute to breathe mum, she only just got here," Fred interrupts from the door way with a laugh. A red takes over my cheeks as he calls me my girl.

"Oh stop Fred, I just want to hear the details," Molly scolds lightly

"There's plenty of time for that later, I wanna say hello to my favourite," Charlie chimes, I grin jumping up happily to go and give him a hug. It felt like forever since I last saw him and I was excited to see Charlie, he was like a big brother to me.

After presents have all be passed out and opened a happy atmosphere fills the home as usual.

My dads are sat talking with Molly in one corner of the packed living room. Harry and Ginny are sitting on the sofa with Harry talking to her and Ginny blushing almost as red as her hair. Charlie is wrestling Ron on the floor while Bill adds a lively commentary. Auntie Lily is showing Arthur how to use the toaster she had gifted him for Christmas, Uncle James watching on with an amused smile.

I'm stuffed between an excitable Fred and George, who are both loudly talking about their gifts, my weasley initial sweater cozy as I rest my head on Fred's shoulder, half dozing off, vaguely aware that my dads and Molly are regularly sneaking glances at us.

"You okay?" Fred whispers to me as George stands to go and check on the turkey when Molly asks him too, grumbling about how she always makes him do it.

"Just tired," I reply, snuffling deeper in as his arm wraps around me, a gentle kiss pressed to the top of my head.

"You wanna come build a snowman?" He asks with a grin, I smile and stand up grabbing his hand to pull him with me before slipping out into the garden.

We talk casually as we build the snowman, laughing at the crooked smile and grinning brightly, he looks adorable with the white snowflakes sitting in his red hair, his eyes shining in the gentle sun.

"No that crooked smile is your fault," he laughs pointing an accusatory finger in my direction

"What are you saying? Clearly it's you and you're inability to pick stones the same size!" I declare, my own laugh echoing through the air around us
