George Weasley felt a little too sober in the group of his friend but on look at Emily who was stumbling a little as she approached and had a dopey smile on her face made her realise the decision to not drink too much was a good one.
"Hey trouble," He grins, happily letting her latch onto his arm to stand steadily.
"Hi Georgie," She slurs a little on her words
"Are you alright?" He asks the question gently, mild concern in his voice
"I'm dizzy," She admits, a sheepish smile on her face
"You need to learn your limits Miss," He reminds, wrapping his arm around her shoulder "Let's go get you some air," He comments, she nods, head leaning into his chest a little as he leads her out of the crowded room.

Fred Weasley was a lot of things. He was loving. He was caring. He was passionate. He was reckless at times.
They were great qualities. Qualities that made Fred who he was. Yet they could lead to his worst qualities.
His jealousy. His anger. His toxicity.
"Hey Freddie," He cringes a little at the sound, the voice the last person he wants to talk to.
"Hi Marrietta," He smiles, a forced and fake looking smile, as he turns in the empty corridor.
He had left the party, feeling the anger in his chest at the sight of Emily and Cedric. He pulled himself together, caring way too much to throw away the best thing in his life, having finally got her Fred wasn't about to loose Emily. He took himself away from the situation, trying to calm himself down as he reminds himself of her promise. Her promise that she was his.
"You disappeared," She smiles, eyelashes batting.
The flirting had been fun at first, a distraction from the fake girlfriend he was head over heels in love with. But, with every passing day he spent with Emily he felt himself falling further and further in love, the crush he'd had on her since first year developing into something so much more. With time Marietta's flirting became insufferable and angered Fred, yet as he observed the way Lucian eyed Emily, the closeness and bond she shared with Cedric, Fred convinced himself he didn't stand a chance, and so, he allowed it to continue.
"I was with my girlfriend," He states, his tone a little sharp, if she notices she does a good job of acting like she doesn't
"Oh come on Freddie, it's just us here, there's no need to act like you care about her,"
"Of course I care about her!" He snaps, the thought of anyone not seeing how much he cared for her made him feel nauseous
"So why do you flirt with me Fred?" Marietta questions, she doesn't sound angry or upset, she seems to be enjoying it, enjoying the drama.
"I- She- It's complicated. But not anymore, this, us talking to each other is over Mari, it's done. I'm happy and I'm not about to throw that away,"
"No one has to know Fred," Marietta smirks widely, hands travelling to rest on his shoulders, he's quick to push her away
"There's nothing to know," Fred snaps
"You'll regret it and we both know it. Fred I don't want to date you, I literally just want sex. No one will know. You can live out your happy little friends to lovers thing and no one will know that we sleep together. The whole school love her and everyone thinks you two are adorable, I assure you I don't want to get between that. It'll be our dirty little secret,"
"Marietta, I'm telling you-"
It happens all at once.
The worst possible situation.
Marietta pushing herself onto her tip toes and pressing her lips to his.
Fred reacts quickly. Pushing her off him, trying to remain gentle, not wanting to hurt her.
"Please tell me I'm dreaming,"
He almost doesn't hear her. Turning immediately to see Emily, eyes shining with tears. The gentle push seeming like a loving touch.
She's leaning on George for support, the pair on their way for her to get air, and she's glad in that moment that she is, her legs feeling weak underneath her, she's pretty sure she'd collapse if it weren't for George holding her up.
"What the fuck Fred? Are you honestly a fucking idiot?" George is shouting, he seems to sense that she needs him holding her steady though, making no attempt to move, Emily wincing slightly at the volume.
Fred stands, mouth agape, eyes wide.
He would have told her Marietta kissed him, wanting to be honest with her always, but god it would have been so much better with context and phrased right and without the alcohol clouding her mind.
"Lovie, please let me -" Fred starts, slowly walking towards the end of the corridor they're standing in
"I'm going to be sick," She announces, George quick to help her rush towards the girls bathroom a few metres away.
She isn't sure if it's the alcohol or the sight of Fred and Marietta.
Fred stands, clueless on what to do, wondering how everything could be falling apart around him so quickly.
