Crystal's POV

I was sitting down on the bed Gigi and I share, watching TV, when Gigi suddenly entered the room, jumping around and making a lot of noise. She seemed happy, so I couldn't help but form a shy smile: poor Gigi, she had been so down lately, constantly worrying about staying away from her Sam and Plastique, so it made me so blissful to finally see her so even.

''Someone's in high spirits...'' I said, lowering the volume of the TV with the remote.

''Crystal, you have no idea...!!! No idea about what I just did.'' Gigi said and made a little squeak.

''Spill the beans, sis'' I said, pulling her arm and making her sit next to me on the bed.

''I just went to Sam's cottage and broke up with him. This time, for good.'' She said, holding my hands and squeezing them. As soon as Gigi said these words, my jaw dropped to underground levels. Holy shit, Gigi had finally left it clear with Sam that she had had it with his games. Could this mean...?

''Wow, Gigi: this is amazing. Uh, do you... You know what, I want to take you to a special place that I know. Don't worry, it's not far from here.'' I mumbled.

''Crystal, I'd love to, but don't you think we'll get in trouble if we leave?''

''Uh, no, duh! You're talking to the best fugitive in the world.'' I scoffed and extended my hand to her.

''Then, sure! And don't worry, I wouldn't even mind if it was far away, as long as I'm next to you.'' She replied, and held my hand to push up and stand up.

Gigi's POV

I was in the car with Crystal and I didn't know where she was taking me, but I didn't care, because, a very long time ago, I learned that it isn't the place you're going to, but rather the person who's joining you, what makes the best memories. And, right now, Crystal was who I wanted to be with more than anything in this world. I won't lie: Crystal's impeccable ability to lie surprised me a lot. She had asked Mr. Dankworth for the car with the excuse that we were going to go shop for marshmallows and other sweet goodies. I guess from now on, I'll have to watch out for Crystal to make sure she doesn't lie to me.

After 45 minutes of driving, we arrived at a beautiful park filled with grass, gorgeous magenta geraniums, and tall dark green pines. Crystal and I stepped out of the car, and I couldn't help but sniff the heavenly odor in the air: it smelled like flowers and dampness but in the best sense of the word. Also, in the distance were the towering icy mountains which brought a frosty breeze into the surroundings. Crystal took a small picnic basket and red tartan blanket, and we finally sat down under the shade of one of the pines.

''I discovered this place yesterday night: while you were at Sam's cottage, talking to him, I went on an adventure and wandered for hours, in search for a nice place to take you to. When I found this prairie, I knew it was the one. Ever since I saw you for the first time at History class, I had dreamt about taking you to a place like this one.'' Crystal said, laying the blanket on the floor.

''Ugh, Crystal: you can be so cheesy sometimes, you sicken me. But I do have to say the view is as pretty as a picture, and being here next to you is just the cherry on top.'' I confessed.

We talked for hours, but quite honestly, for me, it seemed like seconds. Every time I was next to Crystal, time seemed to fly by; and I know she feels like this with me as well.

Until suddenly, everything became silent. But it wasn't an awkward silence at all: I just got lost in Crystal's big eyes and she got lost in mine, and we just ended up staring blankly into each other like the romantic, cheesy lovers we are.

''Crystal, I love you'' I mumbled and broke the silence.

''Gigi, I love you too'' She said, putting a strand of hair behind my ear.

''No, Crystal. I meant I love you as in <<I want to spend the rest of my days next to you because every time I'm near you, I feel tingles and butterflies all over my body, and I just know you're the one.'' I said, looking at Crystal in the eye. Immediately after, I saw her eyes fill up with tears, and mine did the same.

''Gigi, I feel the same way about you: I always have, and I know I always will.'' She said with a shaky voice and a warm tear slid through her soft cheek and right onto my hand.

''Ugh, I feel like I'm levitating!'' I said, when Crystal took me in, and had me straddle her lap.
