CHAPTER TEN: Social Pariah

"How many minutes do we have?" Miles asked Victor as he was kissing his neck.

"School's gonna start in an hour. We don't have minutes" Victor joked as he lifted his arms to let Miles take his shirt off. They were in the maintenance closet at the school, not a lot of teachers showed up yet, there was only 2 teachers, plus the principal who only showed up.
"Condom?" Miles asked

Victor took of Miles' shirt and started kissing the adam's apple from his neck all the way down until he reached his pants, he started to unbuckle and started giving Miles a blowjob. "Not anything new. I just heard Elijah drove him home last night."

Elijah texted Ramond all morning to see if he was coming to school, but there wasn't any reply. Maybe he was scared to face him since he left after the kiss they almost had.
6:15 a.m
E: are you coming to school?
6:30 a.m.

E: i know it's been rough for you

Ramond still wasn't replying.
"Mr.Davis, do you plan on joining us?" Mr. Lachappa asked, peeking his head outside of the door.

"In a few. I have to get something out my car" he lied. He was actually going to see if Ramond was coming to school or already at school.

"Hey it's Ramond, unfortunately I cannot come to the phone right now. Don't leave a message at the beep." 
"..fuck". Elijah mumbled as he ran back to Mr.Lachappa's class.

"Ok, so we're finding out what formula to use when we solve for x...Elijah, did you finally find what you were looking for? Have a seat." Laughter erupted from the aisles as he was walking to find his seat. Omar sat in the seat behind him in his dark green sweater with a black shirt collar popping out of it, taking the notes. "You seen Ramond today?" Elijah leaned back and asked.

"Yeah, I gave him a ride to school, so he wouldn't do anything stupid if he drove his own car." Omar said.
Elijah nodded and looked forward to continue the lesson.

The classroom got silent as Ramond walked in. The sounds of the fight caught on video just paused.
Mr. Foley motioned his hand, signing for Ramond to sit in the front next to Miles.

"You ok?" Miles asked as Mr. Foley turned his back to the face the board.
"Yeah" Ramond snarled coldly.

Miles slipped Ramond a note between the space that was between their desks. Elijah is worried about you. He's been asking about you all morning.

Ramond was surprised ,mostly scared. Was this Elijah's way of letting him down easy? Ramond never been with a guy before, he had watched gay porn in secret a couple of times when he was 11. He really needed time to figure his shit out before interacting with Elijah. But at the same time he thought it was a good sign, Elijah cared, his hopes got low again. But probably not like that, not in the way Ramond cared about Elijah.

"You guys can study, socialize but please do it quietly" said Mr. Foley as he was erasing the board, "Ramond can I have a talk?"

The class erupted full of "oohs" and Mr.Foley told them to grow up.

"I heard what happened yesterday, and I'm sorry so you can take this class off today and talk to the guidance counselor if you want."

Ramond actually thought about it, especially about everything that happened last night, so he agreed.
