CHAPTER FOURTEEN: Finish What We Started

"I don't wanna miss the party!" Victor groaned. He was wearing a blue long-sleeve shirt and some light blue denim jeans.

"I just wanna get my gift for Ramond then we'll be done" Elijah replied back. Elijah was wearing a black shirt with some dark-blue jeans and white shoes.

Victor gave off a sly smile and slid up towards Elijah, "you need a little gift for the 'wove of you wife' he teased.

"Ok, I kinda told him how I felt" Elijah admitted, narrowing his eyes as they walked into the mall. He needed to go to the Nike store to get Ramond some new shoes, Victor tagged along so he wouldn't have to say he came empty-handed.

"Kinda?"

"Ok, well I did tell him how I feel. And you know it was all heartfelt and genuine, anyways, I spoke from the heart and he probably liked it but he was asleep" he gulped.

Victor scoffed, "Bitch, that doesn't count. That's some Marinette Dupain-Cheng shit. You need to tell him when he's actually awake and is able to respond. Your best chance would probably be at the party".

"Does it have to be at the party? It's his birthday and I really don't want him feeling weird or...uncomfortable on his birthday."

"I mean it doesn't have to be, but it would probably be your best bet and two he already feels uncomfortable" Victor assured.

Victor was right. How would Ramond really know how he felt if he wasn't 'conscious' . It was time to man up, Victor's half-assed pep talk would possibly help.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" Victor and Elijah called out as Ramond opened the door. He was wearing a white fila shirt some red jeans and blue shoes.

"Wassup American flag" Victor joked, dapping Ramond up "Me and Elijah bought you some new Air Forces. Hope you like them."

"Baby" Miles called out signaling for Victor.

"Bye" Victor squealed walking through the door.

"I know he didn't buy it" Ramond laughed, "but thank you" he said as he pulled Elijah in for a hug. Elijah felt himself getting hard again so he immediately pulled himself away. "You're welcome".

There wasn't as many people as there were at Omar's party, just like down 20-25 people. His parents, cousins and some other parts of his family was there. His dad thought since he was nineteen now that he was too old for birthday parties, but he didn't care. There wasn't a pool but there was a hot tub.

"Thank you guys" Ramond said to his parents and brothers.

"You're welcome mijo" Gabriel said, "happy birthday". 

"Tell Elijah how you feel" Angelica chimed in and let out a little wink.

"Happy birthday brother" Daniel said squeezing him tightly.

"Thank you hermanito" .  Ramond's smile faded when he saw an extra set of two people come into his house. It was Landon and Naomi. He was about to kick them out himself but Omar and Victor stopped in front of him and went to go address them hisself.

"What are y'all doing here" Omar asked firmly.

"Nice clothes" Naomi complemented Omar. He was wearing his normal jean jacket with a t-shirt and some black jeans.

"You need to leave" Victor demanded as he was walking them to the door and opening it. "Bye!" Daniel called out to them.

"I guess y'all just do whatever Ramond says now huh? We've been best friends since the 1st grade and y'all are just gonna dump me for someone who you only known for 4 years?" Landon scoffed at the two.

"I'm not about to be friends with someone who does snake shit. And I don't care how long we've been friends, you don't fuck your best friend's girlfriend no matter what the situation is" Victor spat in his face. "Now leave" he said coldly.

Landon opened his mouth as he was about to say something but Victor cut him off, "What? you gonna try to tell people that I'm gay? I'm out" he cooed.

"Landon, Naomi you gotta go" Gabriel said firmly leading them to the door and closing it.

"I don't need any drama at a birthday party" Ramond sighed and went up to his room.

Elijah followed him upstairs and told his friends to stay downstairs and keep partying. When he walked in, he saw Ramond getting undressed. Elijah's faced for flustered, and tried to talk to Ramond.

"Glad they didn't get anywhere near you" Elijah hesitated while still looking at him.

Ramond chuckled as he was putting on some red swimming trunks and taking his shirt off. "Yeah, I just wished I sent out invites so they knew not to come."

"Are you ok?" Elijah asked putting his hand on his back. He liked the way Ramond's back felt, it muscular, and hard a little bit like his own back just over five times more.

Ramond put his hands around Elijah's waist and slowly pulled him closer. Elijah looked up at Ramond and let out a smile.

"Can we finish what we started?" Ramond asked in a deep voice.

"Are you SURE you're over Naomi?" Elijah whispered but added a lot of emphasis on sure. Ramond nodded his head.

Not everybody had some cake, just Ramond, Elijah, Daniel, Freddie, Aaliyah and Asia-Lynn, and Miles. Victor didn't like cake, and Omar left to be with Veronica. They rushed so they can go get in the hot tub and maybe swim in the pool if the temperature went up.

"You remember when we knocked down those shelves at the gas station and that racist ass cashier called the cops on us." Freddie said to Elijah with
Aaliyah under his arm with a pink bikini and her hair in a messy bun.

"Then Miles said that he was in on it and we all got arrested" Elijah added as he was scooting closer towards Ramond.

"That's how you all became friends?" Ramond asked with a little chuckle.

"Yeah, we even had to do community service for a month"

Miles noticed that scoot, "We're gonna go see if there's anymore cake left" he motioned to Freddie, Victor and Aaliyah. It was just Ramond and Elijah left in the pool now, Elijah tried to strike up some conversation.

"What college are you applying to?" Elijah cleared his throat.

"Florida State" Ramond mumbled trying to hide his blush.

"Wait really?!" Elijah exclaimed, "I applied there too".

"No shit?" Ramond draped his arm around Elijah and pulled him closer and stroked his face. "Can I tell you something?" he asked. Elijah nodded his head.

"When I was at your house, I heard what you said. That you liked me and couldn't live your life without me anymore" he said lowly.

Elijah's face got hot, and it wasn't because of the hot tub. "Uh-huh, it was probably because I was tired a little bit and"- He was cut off by Ramond pressing his lips against his.

"Was that bad?" Ramond asked with a little shriek in his voice. He was looking down, being too nervous to face Elijah, until he picked up his head and pulled him in for another kiss. They were making out for almost 2 minutes, until they heard Victor and Miles fangirling in the bushes.
