"Kuya Kanon, what's going on? Why is everyone in such a hurry? And why is mom crying?" I asked him and he seemed very frustrated at the moment.
"Uhm.. Princess, please be calm and try not to scream but.. dad is very ill and sooner or later.. he could die" he said and the moment those words entered my ears, my heart shattered.
"WHAT?!" I exclaimed and the people in the hall stopped and turned on me pero inano sila ni kuya na wag kami pansinin.
"Ria, alam ko, kakatapos lang ng Christmas and he's dying Ria, I'm so sorry. But the doctors form all the realms have said that there is no hope for him. He could die any minute now" he sounded as if he's composing himself and trying not to cry. I immediately ran to my dad's room and found my mom crying by his side.
"Daddy! Daddy.. No.." I cried and wiped my tears.
"Honey, honey.. You can't go near him.. the doctor said that his illness is very contagious that's why no one can go near him." mom explained and embraced me tightly as we cried.
I can't believe it! Sa isang iglap ay mawawala na rin ang lahat. Just because of a disease, everyone's lives could be in danger. And the worst part is, dad is the one who's hit. After a few more hours, he'll be gone now and not even the Demon King's powers could bring him back to life because he is a Mythic god.
"So.. What are we going to do now?" I asked her, "Well, your brother Kanon will take his place as the next king of Asphere" she broke down and tears continued to fall down my cheeks.
In these moments of heartbreaking grief, I remember the only reason we have an empty space is because we were blessed with someone who loved us so beautifully that it occupied an entire part of our soul. Yeah, its true that every sweet moments turned into painful memories because dad is now gone and grief is the price we have to pay for love.
"I'll.. I'll just go to my room.." sabi ko na lang at napatango-tango na lang pabalik sa kwarto ko para umiyak.
"Ria.. Ria.." hindi nagtagal bago kumakatok na ang mga kapatid ko sa pintuan, "Kuya.. Alis muna kayo.." iyak ko sa mga ito pero hindi pa rin sila nakinig at tsaka nag-teleport na lang sila papasok.
"I.. Ria, hush.. Naiintindihan ka namin.. Please, coem here" ani kuya Ares at yinakap ako ng mahigpit. Dumating naman sa tabi ko sina kuya Loki at kuya Kanon at yinakap rin nila ako at mas lalo pa akong napahagulgol dahil dito.
"Kuya.. So ikaw na magiging hari?" I tried to make the atmosphere a little more engaging for conversation.
"Yeah.. Its all so fast, isn't it? I'm really nervous since this is a huge responsibility.. I'm not just king for our family but for the whole ever realm.. doesn't this make me the youngest king who ruled the whole Ever Realm?" he laughed but its obvious that he's nervous.
"You'll do greta dude, its in your blood. We know you'll make a great king and of course, gagawin mo kong first knight ng buong Ever Realm" nagpapatawa si kuya Ares.
"Like I would?" irap ni kuya Ares at nagkatawanan na lang kami para mawala ang mga nararamdaman namin para kay dad. Not completely, but just for a little while until the pain returns.
"Sir Kanon, you have to get ready for you coronation" tawag ng maid adn nawala na naman uli ang mga ngiti namin. We just remembered again that dad's gone.
"Well.. I guess this is it! There's no turning back now, bye guys" ani kuya at iniwan na kami.
"I'll just.. return back to my room" ani kuya Loki at iniwan na rin kami.
"Kuya Ares.. Ano ng mangyayari? Dad's gone now.. I don't think I can handle this.." I cried again. "Ria, of course you can handle this. Paniguradong lahat ng nangyayari ngayon ay may dahilan, kailangan lang nating maging matatag despite the pain we are feeling right now. Look at me Ria.. Wag kang mawalan ng pagasa, kaya mo yan, in fact, natutunan ko iyan sayo.." sabi niya at nagulat naman ako dahil sa kinonfess niya. "Sakin kuya? Paano?" tanong ko dito at bahagya siyang napakamot sa ulo.
"I remember when we were in our elementary days, the three of us used to fight over little things and compete about ridiculous things. But when I failed in this game, I was very angry and frustrated because of that. But you came out of your room and you told me the same thing I told you earlier. Sabi mo na Wag kang mawalan ng pagasa, kaya mo yan kuya at dahil doon ay nagsikap ako at natalo ko rin sila. See? You always know better Ria." he said and I embraced him tightly.
"Now come on, we shouldn't be sad on Kanon's coronation. We should get ready to support him in his next journey" ani kuya at napangiti na talaga ko dahil doon.
Mukang as the time goes by ay tumitino naman pala itong si kuya Ares at mas lalo siyang nagiging mas matured, which is a good sign. He'll be a good husband and father in the future. But I hope he finds his special someone soon.
"Miss Asteria, are you ready to be fitted?" my maid asked and I nodded and she led me to the courtier.

Pumunta na ako sa throne room kung saan magaganap ang coronation. Marami ng tao dito at mukang magsisimula na ang coronation kaya pumasok na ako.
"Its the former king Rion's daughter, princess Asteria!"
"She's as beautiful as the Elemental goddess, don't you think?"
"She's a beauty of her own!"
Sabi ng mga tao, ngumiti na lang ako sa kanila.
"You look stunning Ria" bulong ni kuya Loki kaya napangiti ako sa kanya.
Nagsimula na ang coronation at nanahimik na lang ang mga tao sa upuan nila as the ceremony began.
And before long, all of the people rose to their feet to honor the new king of Asphere.
