"Good morning Asteria!" I turned around to see Zuko. You know, he guy who saved me from an outraging Ryker.
"Good morning din Zuko!" bati ko rin sa kanya.
"Hey.. I was wondering if we can train together, narinig ko kasi na isa kang magaling na warrior at powerful ka, gusto ko naman matuto galing sayo." I'm so flattered!
"Sure, no problem. Pwede ka ba mamayang hapon?" suggestion ko sa kanya.
"I'm free later. Thanks Ria, your the best" he said and smiled before he left.
"So.. may rival na agad si Ryker. Kawawa naman siya" nakakagulat ka naman Kara, "What are you talking about? Were just gonna train" I said and she slowly shook her head, "Not how Ryker saw it." she said and pointed at the guy who just left. Agad naman akong humabol sa kanya, "Ryker! Ano ba? May problema ka ba?" I asked him at marahas niya akong tinignan.
"Why did you agree to him? Zuko is a jerk and he will always be a jerk, he just asked you to train with him para maka-score siya sayo. Didn't you see the way he looked at you? He likes you, damnit!" he said.
I don't know what the big deal's all about.
"And your point is?" I questioned.
"The point is.. I don't want any guy near you" he left me dumbfounded with such words. "Hoy! Ria, ma-lalate na tayo sa klase. Mamaya ka na tumitig sa ere kapag recess na" sabi sakin ni Kara at hinila na ako sa classroom.

"HI Ria! Nakita kita kanina doing your report, you were great. Mind if I sit beside you?" it was Zuko again.
I nodded in return and he sat next to me.
Kara and Kole returned from getting their food and Kara looked at Zuko as if he's hiding some conspiracy behind him. "Hi Kara.. Kole" Zuko greeted and Kara only gave him a deadly smile. "What's up with them?" Zuko whispered in my ear, "Nothing. Naninibago lang sila" sagot ko naman sa kanya at he smiles down at me. "Hey Asteria.. can I show you something?" he asks, "Yeah sure. Ano ba iyon?" sabi ko naman at tinignan si Kara na marahas na pinutol ang tinapay na hawak niya, sinusubukan naman siyang pakalmahin ni Kole.
"Come with me" ani Zuko at hinila ako papunta sa rooftop ng Academy.

"I wanted to give you this.." he said and showed me a beautiful necklace.
"Why are you giving this to me?" I asked at kinuha ang necklace mula sa kamay niya at tinignan ito ng maigi.
"I have strong feelings for you Ria.. I just don't know if its good or bad" he said and smiled at me. Kinuha niya ulit ang necklace at sinuot ito sa leeg ko. Its so beautiful!

"This necklace is special Ria. See this gem? This came from Terra Inferno's vicious Red Dragon, it's really rare and it sparkles under the sun. Whenever your in trouble, this will always protect you. I will protect you Ria. Always"
Nakaramdam lang ako ng ganito noong sinabi nina Kole and Kara na Ryker is falling for me. Tas ngayon naman si Zuko. What is wrong with me?!
"Thank you Zuko.. I really appreciate it" I said and looked at the gem again.
"Lets go back, baka may maghinala na sa atin" sabi niya at bumaba na kami mula sa rooftop.

Sa buong duration ng classes namin, hindi ako pinansin ni Ryker. Para bang isa akong multo na hindi nag-eexist sa paningin niya. What is wrong with him?
While I was headed to my locker, Zuko ran ito me.
"Ria! I'm sorry pero hindi pala ako makaka-training mamaya, my father just called and he told me to come home right away because something urgent came up. I'm sorry" he apologized and he looked really disappointed.
"No problem, we can do it some other time then" I told him and he left.
I then saw Ryker leave the classroom. San kaya siya pupunta? Baka tinawag lang ng teacher or may kailangan siyang gawin. I went back to class at binaling ang atensyon ko sa mga seatworks. Pero maski gaano ko man ituon ang atentsyon ko sa libro, may kung ano sa akin na binabahala si Ryker. Tingin ng tingin tuloy ako sa desk niya kasi kanina pa siya hindi dumadating.
"Kara, nasan si Ryker?" tanong ko sa nasa likod ko.
"Finally at tinanong mo na rin kung nasan ang boyfriend mo, he said that he's going to his secret place. Well, not much of a secret anyway since alam ko na kung nasaan. Nandoon siya sa back ng school" sagot niya at kinilig pa daw siya.
Why does she keep saying that Ryker is my boyfriend?
After the class at napagpasyahan ko na puntahan si Ryker. Maaga akong lumabas ng klase at pumunta sa likod ng school. Katulad nga ng sinabi ni Kara, nasa likod siya. Ang tahimik naman dito, ang sarap magpahinga at makapagisip-isip.
"Ryker.. bat ka umalis kanina?" tanong ko sa kanya at tumabi sa kanya pero agad siyang nagbawi ng tingin.
"Anong ginagawa mo dito? Umalis ka na nga. Diba may training pa kayo ni Zuko?" sandali.. ito na yung sinasabi sakin ni Kole na 'jealousy'?
"He had to go home because his father called. Hey, why aren't you talking to me earlier? Galit ka ba? May problema ka ba? Tell me" I said and he didn't bother to answer. "Bat di mo ko kinakausap?" ulit ko pero hindi pa rin siya suamsagot. "Fine! If you don't want to talk to me then I'm never going to speak to you ever again" I threatened him and decided to just leave him there when he suddenly grabs my arm and pulls me toward him and embraces me from behin.
EH?! WHAT IS THIS?! HALA! ANONG GINAGAWA NIYA?! IS HE CRAZY?!
"R-Ryker.. bitawan mo ko.." I told him at sinubukang magpumiglas but his grip was too strong.
"I'm sorry Ria.. ayoko lang talaga na nakikita ka na may kasamang ibang lalaki, pwera sa akin at sa mga kuya mo. I don't like it. Its painful to see" he said and tightens his embrace. Uhm. what should I do in this kinds of situation? I wish I were kuya Ares right now, then I could do something because I have no idea what to do now.
"In short.. your jealous?" I asked him for confirmation.
"Call it envy.. jealousy.. resent.. grudge or even overprotectiveness, I don't care. I just don't want any other guy around you." Hala! He really is jealous! But how can he be jealous when were not even a couple? Let alone, I'm not his girlfriend.
He then lets me go. "San mo nakuha yang necklace na iyan? That gem can only be found in Terra Inferno, its rare" he said and looked at my necklace, "Zuko gave it to me" I replied and held it. "Tsk. I can do better than that, kinuha mo pa iyan eh kaya ko naman ibigay sayo lahat ng gusto mo. Name it! The sky's the limit" he said and snapped his fingers.
There's the Ryker I know. Yung bolero at over-confident. Bumalik na rin siya.
"Edi ikaw na Ryker Claes!" I laughed as we spent time together.
Who knew there's this kind of side from Ryker Claes?
