The pounding sounds on the door went on and on as the humanoid's screech is heard on the other side. Tha and I are both trapped inside the room with the creature on the other side of the door and we don't know what to do. Tha held her guns out as I try to disconnect the systems from the computer.
"What's going on here?" Jennifer asked.
"They're right at my door." I panicked.
The pounding then stopped. Did they just left? Silence fills the room but the alarm keeps going.
WAAAAA-YOOO! WAAAAA-YOOO! WAAAAA-YOOO! WAAAAA-YOOO!
"Guys." Martin gasped, "I think they're searching for us."
He is hiding in the darkness as the humanoids ran past him with guns in their hands. I knew it! This really is gonna happen! I just knew it! We are all hiding in our own spot as James ran quickly through the building.
"Which room are you in right now?"
"I'm in the computer room at the top floor." I replied. I heard the clunk sound and the laser buzzing on the door. "They're back here. Do not go there." I turn to Tha. "Get behind the pole."
We both hide behind the computer and crouch down right before the humanoids step inside. As I peek through, I can see them. They're typing on the computer. Are they connecting more systems on Earth? I can hear the croaking sounds that they're making. It's like they're having a conversation or something. We both stayed quiet as they continued to do their job. After a long time, they turned off the computer and then left the room. I can hear the banging sounds outside the room and the door opens.
"Alexa? Are you in here?" The voice called.
"James? Is that you?" I poke my head up and I see him and Hicpa, and Tha is right next to them.
"Alexa. Thank God you're okay." he uttered.
We both hugged each other as Tha and Hicpa both zoomed their camera lens in and then out. We are glad to see each other in person.
"We better get outta here." I said.
We are about the run out of the room but the humanoids saw us and they aimed their guns at us. As we open the door, the others grabbed us and dragged us away. We struggled to get these guys to let us go but the beams hit us and I blacked out.
I don't know what is going on but I slowly open my eyes. I'm being unconscious and my body is not moving. I felt two hands dragging me through the hallway. I looked up and I can see the humanoids dragging James and the other two must be dragging me too. The door went over me and James and we are in a room. This room has odd-looking tools, a computer, a single large chair in the center and a cannon. The humanoids set us down aside and left us there. I wanted to get of here but my muscles won't move. They turned on the computer and typed in something and everything in the room turned on. They came back to us and they dragged James and set him down on the chair. He screams and yells at them to stop but they couldn't understand what he's saying. Thet just stood there in confusion at he begs.
"Can you please... let us go? We're sorry."
They grabbed a translation device and scanned his voice and read it. They then turn back at him and croaked and growled. They type on the computer and the cannon lowers and aims at his head. He shuts his eyes just before the beam hits him. They took out two wire eye speculums and placed them on his eyes and he begin to scream in pain. He starts to fade away but the power suddenly shuts off and his screaming had stopped. The room is so dark and we couldn't see anything. The humanoids growled and tried to get the door open but it won't budge. I can feel my muscles moving again and I put my hand on the flashlight button on my helmet. The light on my helmet turns on and it fills up the room. They saw me standing. They ran to me and grabbed me by the arms and I screamed as I kicked one of them away. It fell over to James and he pulled something out of it's pocket.
"Take this."
I took the key and jammed it into the hole on the side of the chair. He jumps off and falls over onto the floor. I took the surgical knives off the table and backed away from the beings. They ran up to me and I jammed the knives into their chest. Greenish-blue blood drops down as the two coughed and then fell over onto their backs.
"James!" I cried as I ran up to him.
I tried to wake him up be he's not moving. I start to shed out my tears as I placed my head down on his shoulder. Is he dead? Did they kill him? I sniffed as I hugged his body like this is the the last time I get to see him. The power went back on and the cannon shoots the beam at the empty chair. The door opened and Martin ran inside and closed it behind him.
"He looks down at me and James. "Oh God. What just happened? Is he dead?"
"I don't know." I sobbed, "He's not waking up."
This is a very sad moment for us. What if he is still alive? I hope he is. He was a good friend. Everything that I ever loved gets dragged away from me and shattered into a million pieces like glass.
Martin puts his hand on my shoulder. "Come on. Let's get outta here."
I sighed in sorrow as we walked out of the room. I really am gonna miss James.
