20 - He's Awake

There is blackness.  I couldn't see anything but I felt like my arms are locked up to a chair.  Don't tell me that I'm tied to a chair.  A light shines on my face, making me squint.  Where is that coming from?  I see a face; three of them.  They growled at me in anger.

"You did this to James.  Did you?" I shuddered.

They looked at each other and croaked.  They grabbed their translation device and croaked and growled into it.  The voice is translated to English.

"For years, we searched for the fluid that we can use as fuel to power up our vehicles and devices.  The creature's fuel is the perfect fuel type that we're using for years.  We wanted these creatures to harm each other so we can have our fuel.  Since they refused to listen to us, we take the matter into our own hands.  You will have to surrender and give us your fuel so that the power for our machinery to run again."

I didn't say anything because my words are halted by fear and paranoia.  They tilted their heads as they held the device and waited for me to speak up.  They croaked into the device again.

"Will you surrender?  Yes or no?"

I'm too scared and I'm shaking in my suit on the chair.  I saw an android and she grabbed the three humanoids away from me.

"Tha!  Get me outta here!"

She unstrapped me out of the chair and she threw them aside.  We ran through the hallway but they caught me again.  Tha grabbed my hands they begin to tug-of-war at me.  I felt the pain on my spine as they pull my limbs like as if I'm gonna be ripped in half.  Tha shoots them with her guns and the two let go of me.  Now, she's dragging us both.  A force pushes the tower upwards and launches us off the floor.  Everything begins to float up and as I look through the window, I witnessed it.  We are in the Moon's orbit.

"Tha!  Hang on!" I yelled.

We grabbed onto the pillar as the building drifts and rotates above the surface.  The humanoid launches itself forward right at me but I pulled Tha's gun arm right at the window and blast it open.  The space vacuum sucked us out and we drifted above the Moon.  The spaceship is coming towards us and it picks up the humanoid.

"Unidentified Flying Object detected." Tha commented.

I saw something.  Something massive.  It is two times larger than Mount Everest and it has wings.  It's face, it looks familiar.  I couldn't believe what is there in front of my eyes.  The spaceship reaches it's mechanical arm right into us and grabs us.  It drags us towards the ship as we struggle to get off that thing but a giant insect arm knocks the ship down and the mechanical arm that is holding us broke off.  We flew off and watched as the spaceship falls down.  We both fall down with it too and the humanoids came out with weapons.  Tha is about to shoot them but a laser beam hits her in the chest and she stops moving.

"Tha!  No!" I cried, "Please...  don't do this...  to me."

This is it.  My life is gonna be over.  I am going to die.  I braced myself as I shut my eyes and I burst into tears and a gigantic stick of fur grabs me by the back and jammed the humanoids from above.  It then crushes them all and their spaceship on the Moon's surface.  The ship explodes into flames and debris came flying everywhere.  I looked up at the creature's face. It must be the same creature like in the hijacked video, Skywatching.  I heard a voice, and it sounds male.

"Alexa Helen Cooper."

"What?" I gasped.

"You and your creatures have freed me.  I want to thank you.  I will remove the machines from this rock and will let you go."

I uttered out the name.  "Asmaltor."

"Your shiny creature friend is found.  I have her."

He puts his arm on the lunar soil and drags me down to it with it's hairs.  He then drops me gently onto the ground and I land on my knees.  And, he also drops the android next to me.

"Tha.  I'm so sorry." I sniffed.

His eyes glittered at me and the group as we look up at him.  He walks over us and steps on all the machines with his toe in a single step.  We continue to watch as he spreads his wings and then took off into space.  He flies away way faster than a meteor.  James is lying next to the group.

"James is not alive." Hicpa responded.

"We're sorry." Martin sighed, "There's nothing we can do.  He's already gone."

I glance between James and Tha.  They are both gone.  I begin to burst into tears as I have my head down on him.  It's like everything inside me had broken into pieces.  This is the end of my friend.  He was a good friend of mine.  I miss him so much.  After a long experience of all the terrors that traumatized me way too much, I shivered as I look up into the stars.  The group hugged me in sorrow.  They felt the same way like I am.  This is definitely the last time we see James alive.  I lost both of them but Tha is just an android.

Jennifer looks at Tha and then turns back to me.  "Don't worry.  We'll fix her."

"Okay.  Thanks." I nodded as the tears drip down my face.

Asmaltor is the beast who used to be trapped inside the Moon and now, he was free at last.  My fear had mixed with sorrow because of all the madness.  I'm glad that the rest of us are okay and I hope that James is in a better place.  It's alright.
