After a long and silent drive with your boyfriend you finally arrived to the gym. He guided you, holding you loosely by your waist, over to the seats and sat right next to you, arm now sprawled over your shoulders as he pulled you closer to him.

"Are you upset?" He asked with a frown.

You sighed.

"Not really Law, it wasn't a big deal." You smiled up at him, kissing his cheek and snuggling a little closer towards his warm body.

"Good." He smirked. "I'll go buy some snacks. Wait right here." He got up and left, not waiting for your reply.

"Alright." You said to yourself, obviously upset about his coldness towards you.

Whatever. We just aren't meant to be.

Yes, it sounded awful, but this whole relationship had been a big mistake. You were still hang up on your ex and Law didn't really show any romantic interest in you anymore, so maybe it had to end. In the beginning, you liked him for two reasons. The first one, obviously, he's gorgeous. His good looks and beautifully sculpted body for sure swoon every single girl he looks at, and you weren't much of an exception. Besides, he had shown interest in you the moment you met, and since then he kept on looking for excuses to hang out, but this didn't eliminate the fact that, to you, this whole thing had began as a rebound, so it wasn't off to a good start.

As the relationship moved forward and you began to date more seriously, he lost his mischievous side and began to act a lot colder towards you. Just like you always said, he began feeding you off of breadcrumbs, and it wasn't healthy for either of you. Maybe you'd just have to break up with him and take some time with yourself to heal from your past relationship with Zoro.

Yes. That's it.

Your thoughts were interrupted once the matches began, Law coming a couple of seconds later in with some candy for you to munch on.

"Here." He said, going back to his nonchalant pose and putting his arm on your shoulders. "Is it beginning already?"

"Yep. The first matches are up." You smiled, eyes shining in admiration as you saw the swordsmen fighting elegantly.

"You'll have to explain to me how this works though." He chuckled, looking down at you and pulling you closer towards him.

"Of course." You laughed, leaning onto his shoulder and proceeding to explain to him how the matches worked and the rules of this competition.

This one was special though. Whoever won all of the matches would be given a kind of a scholarship to train at Dracule Mihawk's dojo. He was known as the best swordsman in the entire world. You remembered Zoro talking about him. He wanted to beat him and prove himself as the best.

Zoro would've loved the chance to come here... No! I'm with Law today! No Zoro thoughts.

You huffed and tried to clear your mind of your ex, closing your eyes and relaxing in the feeling of Law's arms holding you tight, but you achieved the opposite. Eyes closed and with the sounds of swords clashing, your mind wandered off to a memory you had treasured for years. It was the first time Zoro had taken you to a kendo competition. It wasn't his category, so you were both spectators of the matches.

The clashing and screams of the swordsmen resounded through the tall walls of the gymnasium. You looked up at your best friend and felt your cheeks blush at the sight. He was looking at the matches with an amazed glint in his eyes, learning from the older and more experienced men.

"You see them (Y/N)?" He asked, looking at you with his famous cocky grin.

"Yeah?" You giggled.
