Luffy stared at the scene unfold in front of him. He was glad you didn't look sad, but you were still acting weird. He had never had any real blood parents, so he couldn't really understand what you were going through. Making the decision and understanding that you were better off breaking your bonds with your family must be hard.

Seeing you had gotten distracted once again, he sneaked back into your room. When he had entered before he saw his best friend open an eye, and he got very worried about his state. He looked like shit.

"Luffy." Smiled Zoro, seeing him come in with a bottle of a special liquid that you had forbid him of drinking in his state.

"I thought you'd feel better if you had some sake." Smiled Luffy goofily, passing him the already opened bottle.

"I can't, (Y/N) would kill me." Groaned Zoro, tearing his eyes away from the bottle.

"She doesn't have to know."

Zoro chuckled and picked the bottle, taking a sip and leaving it on the night table.

"Thanks." He said, closing his eyes once again.

"What happened?" Asked Luffy, still not able to take his eyes off his best friend's beaten body.

"Ah, some guy attacked me. It's nothing, Luffy. I'll get better in no time."

Luffy nodded happily. He trusted Zoro, if he said he'd be better in no time then there was nothing to worry about. That's how their friendship had worked through all the years they had known each other. In fact, it was Luffy who introduced you to him.

"(Y/N) said she wants to break her bonds with her family." Luffy had sat down on a chair you had next to your balcony, sprawled comfortably as he catched Zoro up with how things were going to go from now.

It will be a big change for you. Even though your parents never cared for taking proper care of you, they hadn't ever really had any problems giving you all the money you asked for. It was their way of compensating for not taking care of you. They had also payed a generous amount to Newgate. The thing is that you had been used your entire life to not worry about money at all. If you wanted to buy anything, you'd pay for it without any worries. Nobody would care, but, now that you were cutting ties, you'd no longer have much to live with, and Luffy was scared that you were taking much more than you actually could just for an illusion of living your dream life. He wanted to hear Zoro's opinion.

"Really?" He asked both worriedly and hopeful.

"Yeah." He said seriously. "Don't you think it's a little too much for her?" Luffy stared at Zoro with a frown, face almost void of emotion, just like you had been when talking about your parents.

"What do you mean, Luffy?" Zoro looked at Luffy confused, feeling like he was hinting at something he didn't like at all.

"Maybe it's not the best choice." Replied the smaller man between gritted teeth.

"It's her way of being happy." Grumbled Zoro, lifting himself from bed and glaring at his best friend.

"I'm just worried she's looking for happiness at the wrong place."

"Are you suggesting I'd leave her?" Growled Zoro, standing up already and feeling ready to throw a punch at his stupid friend.

"I didn't say anything."

"Luffy. I would never-"

"I knew you were here you idiot monkey! I told you to let him rest! Zoro?! Get back in bed!" You entered your room only to find a limply standing Zoro, glaring furiously at Luffy. "Guys, what's wrong?"
