"Fuck you Roronoa Zoro." You spat out, turning on your heel and leaving the room. His accusations had gone too far. He was in no right to speak about your family like this.
"(Y/N) please." He groaned. He didn't want you to go anywhere. He had missed you this four days and he needed your company now more than ever.
You turned around, gaze burning in anger.
"No, Zoro. Do you realize what the fuck you're telling me?! The one man that I respected from my family attacked you and fucking blinded your eye? It's bullshit! How do you expect me to believe you when you've been so goddamn unstable about our relationship."
You were right. Zoro had been an asshole and he regretted it. He should've told you the circumstances and you should've solved this together.
"(Y/N). Please stay. Please."
Even if you were angry, his pleading stabbed your heart. It hurt seeing him weak like this, and it hurt even more knowing that he wanted you to stay, but you wanted to stay mad at him. If he was going to keep being like this, this relationship wouldn't be healthy for you. You had to give up on this relationship. It was time.
It hurt your heart, it crippled your insides and it made you feel numb. Until today you had never considered the possibility. Zoro wasn't the one.
"I should go sign the forms and leave." You mumbled, stepping away from him once again, but he caught your hand. Your heart crept up to your throat, you found it hard to breathe. His touch sent electricity down your skin and you were invaded with the need to cuddle up to him. You wanted to lay in bed and kiss him. Tell him he'd be just fine. He looked sad and lonely, and you wanted to heal him, but you weren't even healed yourself. This time, his one good eye looked at you sadly and desperately. He wanted you to stay.
"The nurse said she'd bring them by." He said, voice shaky.
"It's fine, I'll go get them and then I ca-"
"Roronoa, you're awake again."
The nurse interrupted you, entering the room and bringing you a black pencil with a couple of forms to fill in. You thanked her and pulled away from Zoro, heart pounding against your chest. Cleaning a couple of tears that were threatening to spill, you sat down in the visitor's chair and began to write. You knew all of his information by memory, so you didn't even bother looking at him or asking him for help.
"Don't worry Miss, your boyfriend will be just fine." The nurse smiled softly seeing you cry and worried about Zoro. Of course she wouldn't understand the situation.
Boyfriend...
The word resounded in your heads, warming your heart up with a fake sense of happiness. You both wanted to be able to call each other like that, but there was a stupid wall in between that wouldn't let you.
Not saying a word, you continued to fill in the forms with Zoro's information. He stared at your from the bed, eye hurting from how much of an angle he had to put it in in order to look at you properly. You were there, beautiful as ever. His hands and body itched to feel you, to touch you and to love you properly.
"Oh, there must be a mistake. It says in here that he'll stay until 12:00."
"Correct."
"It's only 11:30..." You replied, trying to understand what this meant.
"Well, he has been discharged, but if you want him in for extra hours you must pay for a hospital room outside of the emergency department."
No. He couldn't afford any extra hours, you knew that much. He came from a very low income family and there was no way you'd make him spend extra money just because you weren't willing to help him.
