Osamu was there when it happened. When his own brother first tried to take his own life at the ripe age of 14. He had never been more scared, watching as his twin brother fell to the floor after chugging a bottle of pills. They were rushed to the hospital, and Atsumu had been saved, but it was never the same again.

Now, watching as his brother’s body dangled from the ceiling, the wind moving it's from around, Osamu could do nothing but drop to his knees and scream. He never thought the day would come, when his other half would leave this world without Osamu by his side. People gathered, but all Osamu could do was sit there in horror and shock, not ready to accept this reality.

Suna was the second person to see Atsumu’s dead body hanging there. The blonde was visiting Hyogo with them, wanting to see his hometown after the last game of the season. The fox-eyed boy was not ready for his best friend to leave him.

Quickly calling for an ambulance while his boyfriend sat there in shock, Suna cried. Cried for the loss of a fiend, brother, and teammate. The sight of the broken male would forever be burned into his retinas, haunting his dreams for months on end.

Sakusa was the next to know, having been called by the hospital. Komori was beside him, so the brown haired boy was the fourth. They had quickly got dressed, turning everything off before rushing to Hyogo, desperate for it all to be a prank.

It hit Kiyoomi especially hard when they arrived, all hopes shattering as they saw his body covered by a sheet heading to the basement where they kept bodies till they were collected by the family members or family homes.

He had not cared about the germs, dropping down and bawling his eyes out. Yes, he had broken up with the blonde, but that was only to protect him. If he knew how far the blonde would go to get rid of the pain he felt, Sakusa would’ve never let him go.

Komori couldn't breathe. His friend was dead. The only one who made his cousin smile so brightly was dead. He couldn't believe it. Miya Atsumu would never take his own life, he wouldn't. Sobs wracked his body as the cousins cried into each other's shoulder. It was by far the worst day of their life, along with everyone else's.

Oikawa was called a few days later. Flying in from Argentina, he met Iwaizumi who confirmed it. He had broken down in the airport, in front of thousands, in his fiance's arms. His best friend and fellow baddie was gone. Atsumu was dead.

Iwaizumi led them to the car, all the while holding in his tears. He hated seeing his fiance like this. A sobbing and pitiful mess. When they reached the car and got home, that was when he broke. Both lovers sobbed loudly, grieving over the loss of a dear friend.

The old Karasuno team knew the week before the funeral, having been out on reunion for a week. Everyone, even Tsukishima, was devastated. They locked themselves in the old gym, pondering about what could have happened if they were there. Hinata had it the worse, as he was on the same team as the fake blonde.

Hinata blamed himself, knowing that he could have done more. Could have stopped the rumors, the fights, the words they would regret till their dying day. If only the team hadn't shunned him, bullied him, told him he was better off dead. Maybe he would still be alive.

Bokuto was in emo mode for months. He couldn't look at a volleyball without seeing Atsumu smiling brightly after the energetic owl had dominated the last spike of a game. It sickened him, how much they had changed after hearing a few rumors. They all knew what Tsumu had gone through, yet rage blinded them from common sense.

Kenma and Akaashi didn’t know how to take the news. Deciding to overwork themselves, they eventually ended up in the hospital. More tears were shed that day as everyone checked up on them, making sure they were alive and not suicidal. Atsumu’s death affected the strongest and most uncaring.

Kuroo, Lev, and Terushima stayed unknowing. They knew if they faced reality, everything would become real. They didn't want real, they wanted their friend. Keeping others happy with smiles on their faces, trying to lift the others spirits. They only ever released their pent up feelings when Yaku yelled at them after coming from Russia.

Yaku wasn't a fan of the oldest Miya, he was much too noisy, like Lev. Though he had to admit, it was fun hanging out with him. He could be serious, but also carefree. After everything the poor guy went through, it amazed Yaku how Atsumu could still be himself after all that. Guess his inner demons were finally shown once his mask fell apart.

Out of everyone in the old Shiratorizawa team, Tendou took Atsumu’s death the hardest. They were close friends, hijacking cars and street racing most of the time. When he first heard the news his heart stopped beating, and it took all the strength he had not to faint right away. Tendou lost a friend, a fellow bottom baddie, and a life without Atsumu, let's say no one wanted to live one.

Inarazaki.. Inarazaki hosted the funeral, tears streaming down their faces, just like when they lost against Karasuno but more sad. Kita and Suna were crying, speaking through clenched teeth and choked sobs. Ginjima, Aran, Akagi, and the rest stood there silently, heads bowed as they cried.

Everyone who knew the blonde was devastated. The ones closest to him the most. High school teams they played against, people Hinata introduced to them, even his old classmates shed tears for the dear blonde. No one was the same. The world could simply not go on without the sun.

Atsumu was their sun, and now that he was gone, the world they lived in was plunged into darkness for many months to come. Only when they came to terms with the blonde Miya’s death, would the world around them change, and the light shine inside them once more.
