[Naomi]

Every single day, I woke up with this blossoming feeling in my chest. When the sun begins to embrace me from the wide window of my bedroom at the Austerlitz Mansion, I feel like it's giving light to a bud inside me- telling me that I should share this bliss to everyone I saw.

As for my mind, it was not only filled with troubles and schemes and thinking about consequences of the vague future now. They were always filled with thoughts of him.

Only a few days ago, I thought smiling was a difficult thing to do. But now I was back in my resting face again, knowing that most of my past woes have been resolved. I was walking down the hallway with my mind clear and relaxed, only then working to process the courtly errands for the day.

"Vita," I called as I entered the lavish kitchen, after finishing my breakfast in the dining room; "I won't be home for lunch.. You guys help yourselves, alright?"

"But my lady, we-" She, a young, fifteen-year-old maid, protested as she walked towards where I stood by the door.

"I insist." I answered, interrupting her as she stood there a safe distance away from me. "I might get lunch with the Queen, we have matters to discuss. Don't be shy now. The late Lord and Lady Austerlitz won't be pleased if you protest further."

"They'll be proud to see you now, my lady." Vita replied, making me smile warmly at her. Before I could respond to her soft remark, somebody was walking up behind me excitedly.

"Lady Naomi!" Leila, the servant of the same age as Vita but with a less mature disposition, came skipping towards me, a small bouquet of white, full-bloom daisies in her hands.

"Leila," I laughed, shaking my head as she stood in front of me. "It's eleven 'o clock, what is there to be so excited about?"

"A very handsome Scout handed me this," She replied, giving me the bouquet. "They're for you though, my lady. The scout was a Special Operations officer, said it was from the even more handsome and dreamy Captain Levi Ackerman."

I giggled softly, my heart warming up as I received the bouquet of daisies in my arms. I smiled to regard its beauty for a while, and the fact that Levi thought about sending me these. And hearing Leila say to me how handsome my boyfriend is.

"Which scout you say, handed you these?" I asked Leila.

"I don't know his name, ma'am, but he was tall, his face was angular and he had light brown hair." She replied, the childish dreaminess clouding her wide-eyed gaze. "His expression was very straight, but I can tell he's a humorous guy."

"Jean." I said, turning back to face the flowers, touching them lightly with my fingers.

"She's going to need a lot more than a first name, I'm afraid, my lady." Vita teased, making me grin at her and back at Leila, who was flushing profusely.

I laughed softly. "His name is Jean Kirschtein. He's my classmate and a good friend of mine. Truth be told, I think he has eyes for someone else; Captain Levi's distant relative."

"Truly?" Leila asked, a hint of disappointment in her face. "And who might that be, Your Grace? If I may ask."

"Do you know Mikasa Ackerman?" I asked.

"The female soldier equivalent to a hundred soldiers?" Vita but in, stepping forward. I looked at her and smiled.

"A thousand." I answered in proud regard.

"Oh, I think I know her." Leila whined sadly, making Vita and I turn back to her. "I used to live in Trost. She was the one who got that selfish businessman to take his belongings away from the gate. She saved us all."
