[Naomi]

"And when Armin almost broke his leg trying to get me off that cubicle," I laughed softly, my head on Levi's chest in the darkness, my hand around him. He was chuckling along with me.

"My, I miss being fifteen years old and oblivious." I added softly. "Clueless about the world, ready to take on whatever comes my way."

"Ready to set traps for the adults that wrong her?" He teased, his hand on mine over his stomach, the other playing lightly with my hair.

I laughed, nodding. "Yeah, yeah. That too."

"That's how I was first informed of your pesky existence, wasn't it?" Levi asked, his voice in confusion and recollection of the distant memory. "You set this little rotten egg and wood plank trap for some big fat businessman, and by a moment of clueless mistake, I was suddenly the butt of it all."

I laughed aloud, remembering it well. "Yeah. Uncle Erwin nagged me for that, though. But I could tell he was rather amazed that I had the ability to create such inventions. He knew it was a blessing and a curse."

"Blessing and a curse indeed... I feel like my life is in constant peril whenever we fight. I watch all the doors now and check all the spaces in my bedroom." He answered, making me giggle. "Nobody has ever caught me out of my wits before."

"To think.." I replied dreamily, looking up at the ceiling. "That you never knew that little girl was going to be the love of your life in the future."

"Tch." He answered. "I don't want to think about it. It's disgusting thinking that I was a fully-grown man when I met you. A literal toddler."

"Yeah... It is, isn't it." I laughed. "But I was a different version of myself when I finished my training. And that's when you got to know me. That's what matters... I guess."

He chuckled softly. "You guess."

"Wait... Is this illegal?" I asked, all of a sudden.

"Naomi, what the hell?" He replied.

"Just kidding." I answered, snuggling closer to him. "Besides, I never liked those of my age anyway. Perhaps, when I was younger, I had this standard of the man I wanted to love. And I projected that onto a few guys.. Like Bertholdt. But that wasn't love, for it was never acceptance of their real selves."

"Loving an older person is better, a hundred times over." I said quietly, innocently laying on my lover's hard chest.

"Yeah, because you like the ones with experience to guide you on things you don't know how to do." He said coldly, making me laugh as I looked up at him. I hit his stomach hard.

"Hey!" I whined, looking at him with a smile through my embarrassed eyes. He chuckled softly, as he put his hand around my head and gently lead me back to his chest.

"However..." Levi started, earnestly silent and reflective. "Would it really destroy your perception of me, and my unfazed character; if I said that I enjoy this just as much? Just here, lying down, you in my arms, laughing softly over stupid memories?"

"No." I answered. "I never took you for the type who would prefer making love over cuddling and quiet conversation."

"Though I would always appreciate the former, that's a correct assessment." He added, making me giggle.

"Naomi." He called softly, his deep voice reverberating into my ear on his chest.

"Hmm?" I asked.

"Thank you." He told me.
