LATRELLE TYLER POV

Alexa passed by Olivia and I as we stood in the hall. "Party in Brentwood tomorrow!" Alexa spoke directly to me now. "Although, it'd be better if you didn't show your face."

Then she strutted off.

Olivia scoffed angrily. "Is she always that much of a bitch?"

I just laughed. "Oh yeah. And what party is she talking about?"

"Yeah, I heard about it from Asher. Apparently Jordan's hosting a back to school party at his best friend's John's house. Everyone's invited. Even you surprisingly."

I dismissed what she said. "Oh come on. We both know why Jordan wants me there. To start shit."

Olivia debated with me. "I don't know about that. My parents gave him a real bad scolding. I don't think he's coming for you anymore."

"Good. Enough about him though. Why'd you wanna know my mom's name?"

"Jordan wanted to," she answered.

"Why?"

She shrugged. "I have no idea, but ever since I told him her name, he's been acting real weird."

I couldn't help but scoff. "Fan behavior."

Olivia didn't want to talk about her brother anymore. She touched the chain that I was wearing. "Let's talk about you now. You and that Monse girl seem to be kicking it off pretty well."

"How so?"

"I mean, you even skipped class for her. Since when do you skip class? Especially math class? You know that Ms. Kent doesn't play."

"Oh don't tell me you're jealous." I couldn't help but laugh. "Jealousy kills you know."

She rolled her eyes playfully. "I am not jealous. I'm just glad that you're making friends."

"Psh. I have plenty of friends."

She looked at me doubtfully. "Really? Because all I've ever seen you with is Coop."

Hearing Coop's name pained me. I really miss her.

I quickly changed the topic before my sadness engulfed me. "Let's not talk about her. Let's talk about that pretty face of yours." I cupped Olivia's face in my hands and she blushed. "And this outfit? Ouuu."

I spun Olivia around, admiring her beauty, and she giggled her heart out.

"Don't flatter me, Latrelle!"

"Damn, I can't get a compliment back?"

"You already know that you look sexy," she said bluntly.

I gasped in fake shock. "Damn, not even cute. Just straight up sexy, huh?"

She laughed again. "Okay, I'll take it back then!"
