Hello there! How are you? I hope your day is fantastic, because you deserve it!

This isn't an angsty one shot, but not fluff either. Not sure what to call it? Anyway, this is after the Toppat King ending.

Hope y'all have a wonderful day and/or night, and I'll catch y'all later!

--------------------------------------------

The cockpit was usually empty. No one went in there, because no one needed to drive. Outside course corrections- which autopilot did anyway- the Toppat orbital station didn't fly. It just drifted in orbit, with no need for a pilot.

So when Henry walked by and heard sounds coming from inside the cockpit, he paused and glanced inside curiously.

A Toppat was kneeling next to the pilot's seat, messing with something in front of him. Henry couldn't tell who it was from this angle.

Curious, Henry walked in.

Sven was taking apart one of the computer screens on the chair, for some reason. He was deep in focus and didn't notice Henry approach. For how jumpy and observant he usually was, Henry found it funny Sven didn't notice him- he hadn't tried to be sneaky or quiet at all.

Henry cleared his throat, and Sven jumped so high he almost looked tall for once. The younger Toppat jumped up, hitting his head on one of the armrests.

"Ow- uhm, Chief! What are you- you doing here?" Sven asked, rubbing his head.

Henry waved a hand dismissively. "No need for formalities, Sven. It's just us two."

"Is it? Oh, yep, it is." Sven glanced around. "Just us two. Cool."

"What are you doing in here?" Henry asked. "It's pretty late, after all."

"Late, uhm... yep, pretty late," Sven said, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. "Last I checked it was what, three, three thirty? I guess I was out of it for a while. I was- uh- fixing one of the computers here," He added, forestalling Henry's next question. "It's missing a part, so, I uh- I thought I'd check it out? But it turns out we don't have that part at all, so I was rewiring it so the power grid didn't need that part to function, and, well- I think I might have failed."

Henry glanced down at the mess of wires and electronic parts. He had a degree in software mechanics and he had no idea what was happening here. "Do you ever catch a break, Sven?"

"Uhm- yeah, sometimes. When someone throws it," Sven said, half mumbling.

Sometimes? Henry thought, eyeing the Swede critically. The Toppat chief noticed the dark bags under his eyes and the uncertain way he was standing. He looked about ready to fall over.

Sven said something that Henry didn't catch. Something about working was important? Whatever.

"Well, I'm throwing one now," Henry declared, both interrupting Sven and covering up the fact that he hadn't hear a word the other Toppat was saying. "You get to come spend time with me. Leave this for someone else."

"Someone else. Uhm- I don't... think I can do that." Sven glanced at the half-broken computer. "This is important and- what are you doing!"

He cut off as Henry grabbed his wrist and pulled him close.

"No," Henry said sternly. "You get to take a break. I don't care how important this is, it's not as important as you are."

Sven's face went slightly red. "W-well... I guess I can't directly refuse the chief, can I?"

"Nope!" Henry said cheerfully. "C'mon, let's go."

Sven's face went even brighter red, but he followed Henry as the chief pulled him along.

Safe to say, they had a lot of fun that night.
