I had graduated a week ago. I am officially a veterinary Doctor, specialising in Farm animals. I was on my way home, well it was going to take me a while maybe 4 more hours onto the trip. I was taking a De tour back to my home town to see my mum and dad. It had been 11 years since mum died and even longer with dad. I hadn't really been back since mum passed.

I drove past my old house. It had been renovated to a two story and there wasn't much left of the quarter acer block. I kept driving before to many memories come back. I drove past my old school. I had nothing there but an education. Then I went to the grave yard. I parked my car in the empty car park and headed out to where my parents were buried. I grabbed the roses form my passenger seat and started walking.

I walked for about 15 minutes before coming to a stop. I looked down.

I dropped to my knees and laid two roses on each grave, "Hey mum, hey dad. Sorry its taken me so long to come and see you guys, but life has just been hectic. After you passed mum I went to America to live with Julie and Shayne, they were so nice and I got into Rodeoing and breaking horses, I even got a little bit of a name for my self. Then I came home after I graduated and well I fell in love with Brooks again, we are getting married in August," I said looking down at my left hand where my beautiful engagement ring sat, "I wish you could've walked me down the isle daddy," a lone tear fell,"hope you don't mind though, I asked Joe to do it. But on a happier note, Im a fully qualified Veterinary Doctor, you know how much this means, I've been dreaming of this since I was a little girl," I sniffled as more tears pored, "I miss you guys so much, and I still love you, and I always will but ive got to go, I have a long drive haha and I need to book into a hotel," and with that I got up and walked back to my car.
