UNABLE to move, Devin and Ronan's body were thrown on the carpeted floor. Devin was still unconscious while Ronan slithered on the ground. Based on the appearance of the place, they are in a mansion. The place was dark kung hindi lamang sa mga limitadong liwanag na nanggagaling sa labas ng bintana.

The ventilation was quite chilling in the room. But nothing's more chilling than knowing someone silently staring at them in the dark.

The sound of spilling rushed its way to the side of his body where Devin was lying. Ronan heard him grunted. The sound coming from Devin's lips turned into a shivering baritone noise.

It was so cold that it freezes his bones within. Before their skin could even touch, agad bumukas ang liwanag sa kuwarto.

The room was so bright that it burned their eyes caused by the hanging chandeliers. Their eyes learned to adjust from the hurtful light as they struggled to free their hands from the tight grip. Ronan and Devin knew that the moment their eyes are fixed, that's also the moment they realized that they're both screwed.

They immediately recognized everyone. And as expected, the room was wide enough to be filled by two men in suits; Ethan, whose holding a metal bucket, and Papa whose fingers were crossed, were silently glaring few meters away from them. It was trully disturbing, and yet it's not like they will let them die easily.

It depends on the verdict.

The two men approached Devin. Pwersahan at marahas nila itong pinatayo. Coughing, Devin was trembling the hell out of cold. But his gun wound seems unbearable that weakened his body from pain.

"How many times did I warn you, Devin," sa unang pagkakataon ay binanggit ng matanda ang totoong pangalan ng binata. It was menacing and doesn't sound pleasing to their ears.

Mr. Hawkings continued.

"You knew this would happen someday, but why did you keep him involved?"

Hindi kaagad nakasagot si Devin. For the first time, he was verbally caught by someone he loathe. Something was stopping him to speak back. And it's not about the intimidation.

Was he afraid that Ronan will hear everything?

Perhaps, yes.

It was an order. Ronan was so confused that made him unable to react.

"You really like that guy, don't you?" the old man asked.

Devin didn't answer.

"I assume that silence means yes, yes?" he clarified. But Devin remained standing, his eyes pasted on the carpeted floor. His brows are furrowed while his mouth remained tightly shut.

Ethan approached and gave Devin a handgun. His glare was enough to kill the person who's in front of him. There's no way for them to get out of this mess lalo pa't napaka-delikado ng mga taong kaharap nila ngayon.
