Chapter 30

"You okay?" I asked Carly, frowning.

Carly nodded, frantically smoothing down the front of her dress.

"Does this make me look fat?" Carly asked, her eyes wide as she turned to look at me.

"It makes me want to rip it off of you and lock the door." I laughed, my eyes trailing up and down her beautiful figure.

Carly let out a groan.

"You didn't answer my question..." She whined, stepping into her black pumps.

"No, you don't look fat." I reassured her, my eyes resting on her hands on her stomach.

Truthfully, there was a bit more there than before she got pregnant, but I wasn't about to point it out.

She still looked absolutely beautiful in the short black skirt and white sweater.

"Let me do that." Carly said, walking over to me as I was tying my tie.

I smiled at her, letting her take care of it for me.

"So do you think your family will like me?" Carly asked, her eyes meeting mine.

She was wearing a lot of eye makeup, but it looked gorgeous.

"Yea, baby anybody would fall in love with you at first sight." I laughed, kissing her forehead.

Carly sighed, poking my stomach lightly.

"I have a feeling I'm going to stuff myself full tonight." Carly admitted with a sheepish grin.

"Same, baby, same." I laughed, wrapping my arms around her. "I love you."

"I love you too." She replied with a laugh.

"Bobby's here!" My dad called up the stairs.

"Shit I'm late!" Brian exclaimed, rushing into the room with just a towel around his waist.

I laughed, taking Carly's hand in mine as we walked towards the door.

"Uncle Bobby!" I said happily, walking into the front hall.

"Jason!" Uncle Bobby smiled.

He was about to give me a hug when he saw Carly.

"You must be the girl my nephew's madly in love with." He said, completely stepping past me.

Carly giggled and nodded.

"That would be me." Carly laughed, glancing at me as my uncle pulled her into a hug.

"Well it's great to finally meet you." Uncle Bobby smiled before turning to my dad.

I gave Carly a wink as she quickly stepped close to me.

"You feeling okay?" I asked quietly.

Carly nodded, sliding her hand across my lower back.

"Is your aunt nice?" Carly whispered.

"Yea, she's got two kids, but she's super young." I replied with a smile.

"How old was she when she first had kids?"

"19." I replied, scanning Carly's face.

Carly just nodded, not looking up at me.

My dad and Uncle Bobby moved into the kitchen and both got out a beer.

I knew that I wouldn't be drinking tonight though.

My aunt did want her 12 year old daughter seeing teenagers drinking, she didn't want her getting any ideas.
