I was meeting Tyler at my favourite cafe, Books and dreams. It's a small cafe that sells books, but has the best smoothies Brisbane. I reckon.
As i hoped of the train i was worried that he was going to be mad because the train was late but when i finally got there.
He wasn't there. I was really confused, i kept going over the conversation we in my head
'Meet you at Books and Dreams at 11:30.' He said
I felt really uncomfortable siting there by myself all the stares i was getting made me feel very self conscious. I got my phone out to distract myself.
It was now 11:45 and he wasn't there. Hmm. He's probabaly just late i kept reminding myself, probably the trains or maybe he over slept. I quickkly texted him but i got no reply. I wanted to keep texting him but i stopped myself becasue i didn't want to seem needy. Even though i was.
I couldn't help but think of the worst things like, he was in an accident or he didn't want to see me. But then the other side of me just kept making excuses saying like he probably just overslept or has no credit to reply. I knew these weren't true but it made me feel a litttle better.
There was also just this other little thing niggling at me, was he with another girl? I kept trying to push it out of my mind but everytime i did that the thought snuck its way back in.
I had gone through a smoothie already and was about to order another, i couldn't help but keep checking my phone going through our messages to see if he'd said anything about cancelling it but there was nothing.
Finally, after what felt like forever i got up and was walking out until i bumped into a tall handsome guy. I know i shouldn't say it but he was HOT! We stood there for about a minute in the doorway, until i realised i was checking him out.
'Urgh, ex..excuse me.' I spluttered hoping i wasn't blushing too much. 'Woa' he said. Not even trying to hide the fact that he was looking me up and down. I could feel his gorgeous blue eyes looking at me.
'I'm Drake,' He said with a low husky voice. 'I'm ahh Beverly.' I replied lacking confidence.
'Beverly! Beverly!' Tyler called walking up to me.
'Umm, i gotta go.' I said feeling my face burn.
'I hope to see you around.' He said with a cheeky grin.
