Chapter Two

"Compliment"

What should I do? Maybe I can just ask him what he is doing here?

"What are you doing here by the way? You need something?" I asked while looking at him. He didn't respond on what I say that's make me feel awkward more. Kinuha ko ang note sa bag ko at binigay sakanya habang nakangiti.

"I can't go to the library later. It's close there at five o'clock, your a student here right? So I expect you know about it. Pwede naman na wag ka nalang magpass kasi new student ka palang sa section natin and I know ma'am will understand you."

Hindi ako tumitingin sa kanya kaya di ko malaman kung ano ang reaksiyon niya. I sighed and put the note in the table. Nangangalay na ang kamay ko dahil hindi naman niya kinukuha ang sulat mula sa kamay ko. Inayos ko ng kaunti ang eyeglass ko kasi medyo tabingi na.

"Your beautiful if you don't wear your eyeglasses." This time I looked at him when I heard him saying something while looking directly at me. Tumaas ang kilay ko sa sinabi niya. Some students told me that I'm ugly dork, hindi naman ako nerd. Hindi naman talaga malabo ang mga mata ko talagang gusto ko lang mag eyeglasses.  I feel cool wearing these.

"Huh? Masyadong malabo siguro ang mga mata mo." sabi ko habang umiiling-iling. It's so awkward when someone gives me a compliment. Yes, I admit he is handsome. He's innocent face and to he's innocent eyes are so attractive not to mention those pointed nose which make me feel jealous. Yung eyeglasses lang ang sagabal sa kanyang mukha, malaki din ang katawan niya parang nag-ggym, didn't I tell you that he is also tall? He's freaking taller than me and my height is 5'6 if you ask'.

"Your fantasizing me now huh? I'm like some character in the story? Nerd outfit but has handsome face?" Ngumiwi ako sa sinabi niya, ang hangin naman. His surname is somewhat familiar, I think I heard it somewhere.

"I'm not fantasizing you, I'm just checking if your not a bad person." I just said.

Tumaas ang kilay nito sa sinabi ko kaya nag iwas ako ng tingin dahil kakaiba ang dating nito sa akin.

"What if I'll tell you that I'm a bad guy? Would you believe me?" I looked at him again and raised my brows. Is he seriously asking me that?

"Wala sa itsura mo ang maging masama." I truthfully said and smile a little.

"So you based their attitude if they are bad or not by their physical appearance?" Napatigil ako sa sinabi niya, he's right.

"So your saying that your bad? Because your... cute it's mean that your bad?" He chuckled of what I say, it's my first time hearing his little laugh. Ugh Linzey your a writer! Bakit parang wala akong alam? Deans lister ka din!

"Cute huh? That's only for puppies Miss Ford and I'm not saying like that." I rolled my eyes at tumayo na para umalis.

"Rude Miss Mayor." Napatigil ako sa paglakad, kanina Miss Ford ngayon naman Miss Mayor? Wait, how did he know that I'm the Mayor of the class? Tumingin ako sa inuupuan namin kanina pero wala na ito doon. Where did he go? Tumingin ako sa paligid pero wala ng tao, puro puno lang ang nakikita ko. Hindi pa naman ako nakakalayo bakit nawala agad siya?

Napailing nalang ako at dumiretso na ng next room fifteen minutes nalang kasi at bell na for our Filipino subject.

Ng makapasok ako ng room may ilan-ilan na nasa loob ng classroom. But what cought my eyes is him talking to a girl. Nilagay ko ang bag ko sa upuan at nagbasa ng libro. Nagkukunwari akong nagbabasa but I'm looking at them. I raised my eyebrow because I'm not familiar of that girl. I'm curious who is she, not in a bad way.

Mayroon siyang violet na highlight sa buhok niya, she is wearing crop top Chanel jacket revealing a bit of her tummy and she is wearing fitted jeans that suit her. She's very sexy with her outfit full of confidence tumingin ako sa damit ko. Compared to her I am wearing maroon shirt and simple jeans. Bakit ko ba kinocompare ang suot kong damit? Hay, nababaliw ka na talaga Linzey. I talked to myself.

Napailing nalang ako at nagbasa nalang. I heard the ring bell so I looked at my wrist watch, 10:30 am pagkatapos ng subject na to vacant na namin.

Pumasok na ang teacher namin sa Filipino.

"Goodmorning class may project kayo ngayon. By partners okay?" Ugh that's why I hate projects sometimes "so maghanap na kayo ng partners, babalikan ko kayo pagkatpos kong maprint ang mga ito." She said and raised the USB in her right hand. I pouted and looked around, my problem every projects is looking for a partner. I don't have friend here so wala akong mahanap na pang partner sa mga projects na gagawin ko.

I looked everywhere hoping na may pupunta sa akin but none. I sighed at tumayo na, kakapalan ko na talaga ang mukha ko. Naghanap ako ng partner pero lahat sila may partner na but I noticed that there's someone who hadn't have one. Oh, he is the one that don't have partner, should I go or not? Maglalakad na sana ako papunta sa kanya ng may nakauna na sa akin.

Napatigil ako sa paglakad, nakita ko siyang nakatingin sa akin kaya nag iwas ako ng tingin.

"Pwede ba tayong dalawa ang mag-partner? " I heard the girl said to him, I sighed at bumalik na sa upuan ko. I don't have partner, what should I do?

Bumalik ako sa upuan ko at yumuko ng kaonti. I froozed when I saw a pare of shoes infront of me and when I looked up I saw a girl with a shoulder length hair with a side bangs. She smiled brightly at me and wave her hands cheerfully.

"Hi! I'm Yanna, pwede bang tayo nalang ang mag-partner I don't have partner kasi si Hailee partner na si Zander." Nanlaki ang mata ko, I didn't expect this oh gosh.

"Sorry may partner ka na ba? Maghahanap nal---" I cut her off while looking at her with my widened eyes.

"No! I mean it's okay, I-i don't have partner too." I said shyly.

"Great wait kukunin ko lang ang bag ko." Pipigilan ko na sana siya pero naka alis na siya. Oh my ghad, she is Adrianna Kia Gomez. Sikat din siya sa school not because she's a friend of the daughter of the school but she's known as Music Princess. Magaling siya sa music and she also has awesome vioce like what I said earlier.

Suddenly I saw her with her thing infront of me and walk beside me to sit on the vacant seat near the window.

"Here, hintayin na lang natin si teacher," she said and smiled so I nodded. Inaayos niya ang paglagay ng gitara niya, nakaka starstruck ang ganda niya I admit. It's the first time I saw her in this close, I mean yeah this is the first time. Even we are classmate natatanaw ko lang siya sa malayo, well malayo naman kasi ang upuan nito sa akin.

"Wag kang mai-intimidate sa akin ha?" Napaayos ako ng upo dahil sa sinabi niya. I just smiled at her for response. Well it's to late because I am already intimidated to her since she talked to me pero hindi ko yun pinahalata.

"Malabo ba talaga ang mata mo?" Napatingin ako sa kanya dahil sa tanong niya,

"No," I said and smiled,

"Then why your wearing those glasses? Fan ka ba ni Harry Potter?" I chuckled of what she say, pabilog kasi ang eyeglass ko.

"No, trip ko lang." She nod at tumingin na sa harapan dahil nandiyan na ang teacher namin,

"Ok ang gagawin niyong project ngayon ay gagawa kayo ng brochure tungkol sa lesson natin kahapon, at gumawa ng kahit maikling story kahit anong title at babasahin niyong mag-partner dito sa gitna. Bibigyan ko kayo ng three weeks para diyan." Buti nalang three weeks pa ang dead line. I sighed and bit my lower lip.

May sasabihin pa sana si ma'am pero nagring na ang phone nito.
"Yes ma'am, pupunta po ako diyan ngayon." Nagmamadali itong lumabas ng room,

"Bakit kaya nagmamadali si ma'am?" Tanong ko sa sarili

"I heard na malapit na ang foundation day maybe that's the reason." napalingon ako kay Yanna ng magsalita ito, ngumiti ako ng kaonti sa kanya.

Next month na pala ang foundation day, marami akong gagawin nun. Kaya pala puro meeting sila ngayong week at pinaaasa nalang sa project at assignment. Siguradong kailangan kong mag-isip ulit ng booth para sa klase namin makapunta nalang ng canteen dahil nagugutom ako. Natapon ba naman kanina ang kakainin ko sana, nabulunan pa.

"Ay wait Linzey give me your number so I can call you about the project." ngumiti ako at binigay ko sa kanya ang number ko at umalis na.
