BORED, Maddie rests the side of her head against her fist, trilling her lips. They've been waiting for what felt like ages to get Stiles' jeep fixed after Erica ripped out the starter and then proceeded to knock them unconscious with it. She can still feel the mark from where she got hit. Maddie looks behind her through the small window into the garage, watching Stiles talk to the mechanic, seemingly getting nowhere judging from the cocky look on the guy's face.

After they had woken up, they were not at Boyd's house, and the stench that encompassed them was anything but pleasant. The ground beneath them was soft, difficult to gain a footing. Once Maddie had opened her eyes, disturb by the throbbing pain in her head, she realised where they were.

In a dumpster.

It was a struggle to get out, Stiles falling backwards whenever he tried to stand up, Maddie closing her eyes and refusing to breathe as she tried grabbing the sides of the dumpster to pull herself up. Eventually, they managed to escape, Stiles holding onto Maddie as she stumbled out, making sure she didn't fall.

Her wrist has died to a dull ache whenever she tries to twist it or touch it but other than that, she's doing relatively okay, more exhausted than in pain.

When the door opens, Maddie looks over to the entrance, not having expected anyone to come in at this time of night —— a little hypocritical but theirs was a matter of urgency. Catching sight of him makes her force an amicable smile.

He looks over to her, brows furrowing in confusion at the sight of her. "Maddie?"

"Hey, Lucas," she replies with little enthusiasm, unbothered to discern if it's from his presence or the throbbing pain in her skull, only made worse by the florescent lights.

"What are you. . ." He trails off as he looks through the window, seeing the familiar buzzcut which answers his question. "Ah."

The frustration bubbles as Maddie subtly rolls her eyes at his tone, almost as if seeing Stiles makes it obvious as to why she's here. Okay, yes, he is the reason why she's sitting in the waiting area of a mechanic's garage, but that's not the point. It only adds to the drama that's been going on between the two boys since her and Lucas dated.

She decides not to get sucked in and just leans back, closing her eyes again, hoping that when she opens them, she would wake up in her bed.

Though when she finally does, hearing the door open, Maddie is not greeted by her bed, instead by the cold, dim walls of the dull waiting room. As Stiles closes the door in a huff, mumbling something about what a quality establishment they were running.

"He's overcharging you, isn't he?" Maddie asks, more of a statement that a question.

"Yeah." Stiles grumbles as he rubs his hand on his jacket. "Don't touch anything in this place."

"Wasn't planning on it." Maddie replies as Stiles turns around, meeting Lucas who leans against the wall by the exit door. He offers a tight lip smile and a small salute, to which Stiles replies with a disinterested head nod, quickly dismissing his presence. Maddie presses her lips together to hide her amusement as Stiles walks around the small room, trying to find any excuse to not engage with Lucas.
