(December 2nd)
HARRY
I was on a date with Louis when I got a call from Zayn.
"Hey, what's up?"
"Haz," Zayn sniffled on the other side. "Can you come over?"
I instantly stilled. Zayn never cried.
"Zee, what's wrong?"
"C-Can you please come home?" he whispered.
I sighed, taking the phone away from my ear. "I'm so sorry, Lou, Zayn needs me back at home."
He smiled, kissing my cheek. "That's fine, H, I'll see you tomorrow, yeah?"
I pulled him into a hug. "See you later, babe."
"Okay, Zee, I'm coming over."

I entered our dorm room, gasping at the sight. Tissues were strewn all over the floor, and Zayn sat in his bed, tears streaming down his face, a carton of ice cream in his hand.
"What happened?" I rushed over to him.
"I-I saw Liam today." he sobbed. "He was with another guy. I don't know why this is upsetting me so much, I was the one who told him I didn't have any feelings for him, but it hurts, Harry, fuck, it really hurts."
I sighed, pulling him into a hug. "I'm sorry, Zayn."
"Stupid Liam with his stupid hair, and stupid eyes, and stupid smile, and stupid body," he mumbled into my shoulder. "I hate him."
I laughed a little. "No you don't love."
He groaned. "I know, I know. I fucking like him, and now I'm too late because I screwed up and he's with somebody else."
"Zayn, yeah you messed up, but sitting on your bed crying and eating ice cream isn't going to fix anything. You need to go and first of all, apologize to Liam, before you can do anything else, okay? I talked to Lou, and he said Liam was really gone for you. I don't think he'll have gotten over you that quickly."
He looked at me, eyes full of hope. "You think so?"
I chuckled, patting his back. "Come on, go get your man."

ZAYN
I knocked on Liam's door with shaking hands.
"Coming!" I heard a voice call.
The door opened, and I found myself face to face with Louis. "Um, hey." he looked surprised. "What are you doing here?"
"Who is it?" Liam's voice called out.
Louis pushed me in, and Liam's eyes widened. "See you later, I'm going to Harry's. Use protection please!"
Liam facepalmed, and I couldn't help but chuckle.
"So," he pursed his lips. "What are you doing here?"
I gulped. "I'm uh, here to apologize."
He laughed dryly. "Kinda late isn't it?"
I looked at the ground, ashamed. "I know, I'm sorry. You didn't deserve what I said to you, not at all."
"Then why did you say it?" Liam sat up on his bed.
I sighed. "Can I-" I gestured to the bed. "Can I sit?"
He narrowed his eyes in confusion, but moved over so I could sit on the bed.
"Look, there's a reason that I didn't want to be in a relationship. And, I think, to properly make things right with you, you should know that reason."
Liam's eyes widened. "You don't have to tell me, you know. I understand if you don't want to."
I shook my head. "No, I want to. I need to. I was in Year 11, and I met this guy, Logan. We became friends pretty fast, and started hanging out a lot. I remember at this point I thought being gay was a bad thing, I thought it was a sin, because that's what my parents told me. But, over time, I began to have feelings for him, and I didn't know what to do. I told him, because I couldn't keep anything from him, and we started to date in secret. He helped me through so much," I smiled fondly at the memory. "A year went by and it was our anniversary. He came to pick me up at our house saying that we were just hanging out, because my parents new that Logan and I were 'friends'. Um, we went to this park that was like, our spot, and everything was great, we were having an amazing time." I swallowed hard. Liam, seeing this, immediately scooted over and put his arm around my shoulders comfortingly, making me smile. "All of a sudden, my dad's car pulled up from behind us and he came out a with a gun. A fucking gun. He was obviously drunk, but he started shouting at us, and calling us faggots and stuff, and the next thing I knew, he was pointing the gun at me. Saying stuff like, 'I wish you were never born' and 'you're a disgrace to the family'. He-he shot at me," I let out a whimper as I closed my eyes, seeing my father's angry face. Liam gasped, pulling me closer to his chest, kissing my forehead softly. "Logan jumped in front of me, he took the bullet for me. He's dead because of me," I cried.
Liam rubbed my back soothingly, letting me cry it out.
"The reason I didn't want to be in a relationship with you is because I didn't want to hurt you like I hurt him. I wouldn't be able to take it if I had been the cause of your pain, I couldn't do it. I'm so sorry, Liam," I turned to him suddenly, burying my head in his chest.
"And I understand if you don't forgive me or don't want to be with me anymore, I saw that you've moved on," I said softly.
He pulled back, looking confused. "What are you talking about?"
"I saw you at the café today with that other guy. You looked really happy, so I'm glad."
To my surprise, he began to laugh. "Zayn, that was my best friend, Niall. We're not together, he has a boyfriend."
I raised my eyebrows. "Oh..."
"Besides, I've already forgiven you, you don't need to worry about that. It would take a much longer time for me to get over you. I really like you Zayn." He spoke seriously, looking my in my eyes.
I smiled. "I really like you too Liam."
