Chapter 23: Regression part 2

Sid is desperately trying to fight with a giant god statue. He flies up towards its head at full speed.

BAAAM

The god statue swats him away like a fly.

"Ahkkhh."

He gets smashed into the wall. He looks at Surya and his eyes open in shock.

"Surya, no!!!!"

He sees Asha's body lying on the ground with Surya next to her. But something was wrong.

A statue with an axe was returning to its position near them.

Surya's entire midsection was missing. No, rather, it had been turned into a puddle of blood.

"Damn you...."

Sid's expression crumples.

'Who are these monsters?? They didn't come out of the gate... They can seemingly just reform into their original state but the mana they're consuming... It's not their own...
It's ...'

Sid glances at the angel statue hovering above. Then suddenly, as Sid looked forward, the god statue picked it's leg up.

BAAMM

And stamped Sid with its foot like an ant.

"Ahkk."

The angel statue which was hovering above was smiling. It was happy.

'Even as an emissary, you think you will be able to beat it?? It was specifically made by Queen Regina and King Farris... Maybe if I was the one who made it but you...'

They smirk.

They then turn to Asha.

"The woman's not him...

Heh, King Diablo was right... Then..."

They turn to Surya,

"It's you."

They then recall their plan to force the dragon emperor's awakening.

A few days ago, when all the Monarchs who had awakened already were discussing the issue of the dragon emperor's arrival in Diablo's room.

Diablo says,

"Ok, then let's do this....
We'll move forward with the Kartenon Temple."

Regina smiles in excitement.

"So, what's the plan???"

Diablo turns to Farris and Farris nods and speaks.

"We lie."

The huge muscular man standing behind him asks in confusion.

"What?"

And Farris gives a wild smile.

"We lie. We'll create a farce, just like father did... Force them into submission, and when he'll have no choice left..."

Zaid continues,

"Brother will awaken. Is that it??"

Farris punches his palm lightly to signify a blast and while laughing says,

"But this time we'll save them, with Diablo's contracts... It's possible."

Then Diablo intercepts,

"But we'll have to be accurate with our timing. Even a second late and we risk killing them."
