Downfall

Chapter 18: Happy Birthday, Nikki

Ah birthdays, who doesn't love birthdays. Especially your own. I will be turning 18, in five days. I'm excited to finally turn eighteen.

"Three, two, one." My parents said in unison.

"Ahhhhhhhh!"

"I guess she found out." Grayson chuckled.

I opened the door with a husky puppy in my arms. "Best early birthday present ever."

"We three had the same gift in mind, so we split the money and bought it for you." Mom told me.

"She's just so adorable. I'll call you, Wolfie." I said as I brought her nose to mine. She licked me.

"Good luck having a relationship with, Nikki, now." Dad added. I chuckled.

"Grayson will still have my attention." I pecked his lips. "Thank you three for the puppy. I love her."

My parents gave me a hug. Hunter came out of his bedroom and hugged me.

"Since I have no money to spend, the puppy was also from me." He gave me a cheeky smile.

"Of course, thanks, Hunter." I hugged him.

We had breakfast and then Grayson and I went for a walk at the beach. Hunter stayed with Wolfie.

"I'm happy." I smiled.

"So am I." He interlaced our fingers as we walked.

We sat on a log and I rested my head on his shoulder. Our fingers still interlaced.

"Nikki, I like you so much, that I get jealous if guys talk to you, like Roy and Jake. Makes me angry." He sighed.

I made him face me and caressed his cheeks. "Well, those guys mean nothing to me. They were trying to be flirty, but I told them I'm crazy about you." I pecked his lips. "I'm yours."

"And I'm yours." He pulled me into a very sweet kiss.

"Oops." We pulled away to see a girl falling on the sea.

"Leo, I'm going to kick your ass!"

She runs really fast. She jumped on him and they both fell in the water. We chuckled.

"Damn, Nixy, you get stronger with each day." In one swift he picked her and gave her a kiss.

"Aww, they're adorable. In a very strange way." I mentioned to Grayson. He laughed.

"Were you spying on us?" We look up to see the couple.

"Considering we were here first, your accusation is invalid." I replied to the girl.

"Sorry, guess we were in our own world, we didn't see you." The guy answered.

"I'm Leo, and this is my wife, Nixy." We all shook hands and introduce ourselves.

"Wait, aren't you that rockstar? Aww you proposed with your baby girl to her." I said in awe.

"Yeah, can't say no with that kind of proposal. Especially if it includes a cute toddler." He grinned. We all laughed.

We spoke for a while and then they left. They were nice people. And for a rockstar, he was so down to earth. I asked if he could perform at my birthday and he said yes.

The night of my party arrived. I was excited. My parents told me that they were going at Jojo and Jared's house. They said they didn't want to be in a house full of teenagers. That's why they took me out for Breakfast. And they also took Wolfie.

"Happy birthday, baby girl." I was pulled into a kiss.

"Baby girl, I like that." I smiled against his lips.

The party was in full swing, some were drinking, others dancing, and some were, making out.

"Hi, everyone." We turned to see Leo on stage. Evryone started to scream and ran to where he was. Good thing he brought his guards. "Happy Birthday, Nikki."

And he started to sing. He has a great voice. I felt two strong arms behind me. He placed a kiss on my cheek.

"Having fun?"

"Yes, because is the first time I'm celebrating a birthday, with a boyfriend." I turned around and wrapped my arms around his neck. "But also, my best friend since toddlers. Even though we hated after we turned five years old."

We both laughed.

"Yeah, it's a good thing we're in peace and dating now." He pecked my lips.

We enjoyed the rest of the show and then came time for me to blow the candles. He did the honors and sang the birthday song in a very unique way. And I made my wish. Which was to always be with my loved ones. And for health and life.

When the party ended, everyone told me how amazing the party was and that it was the best party ever. I think having Leo performing made it the best.

"Thank you so much, you were amazing on stage."

"My pleasure. And you don't need to pay me, consider this your birthday gift. Happy birthday, Nikki."

We hugged and then he shook hands with Grayson and then he was gone.

"Best birthday ever." I giggled as we walked inside the house.

This time, I celebrated with my friends and family. And Grayson, being with him on this day, was everything.
