I walk into the loft with a blanket, pillow, my famous brownies, and a few magazines in hand. Before I came I made sure to shower and brush my teeth so I won't have to do that after. So far I can tell that by the end of the night I am going to be too tired to pick up a toothbrush. As soon as I enter the room I am bombarded with loud shrieks and a nerf gun bullet to the forehead, I go cross-eyed trying to look at the foam bullet suctioned cupped in between my eyes. The guys burst out in laughter I join in and set up my small area which just so happens to be right next to Blaine's.
"Sorry about shooting you Kurt," Nick apologizes.
I giggle, "You are fine! I thought it was pretty funny if I am being honest."
Wes bangs his gavel even though we are not in a Warbler meeting, "Alright to start tonight's carefully planned activities we shall begin with a game of Paranoia."
I can hear a mixture of groans and cheers from different people. I have never played this game before, so I am personally inquisitive and excited. We all form a big circle and David starts to explain the rules.
"So to play the game paranoia we all go in a circle whispering questions into one another's ears. The person will answer the question out loud, for example, if I were to ask Jeff, 'Who in this room do you think has the most talent' he would answer with somebody's name. You must ask questions about people in the group. Once the name is said we will flip a coin, heads we say what the question is, tails the question remains a secret, hence the name Paranoia. You won't know if someone saying your name is a good or bad thing," David explains.
We nod our heads in understanding and the game begins. Wes starts by asking Nick a question which he responds with Blaine's name. The coin is flipped and it lands on tails. The game continues with Nick asking Jeff, Jeff asking Blaine, Blaine asking me, me asking David, and so on. Jeff whispers a question to Blaine and he responds with my name. The coin flips and things seem to go in slow motion.
Heads.
Tails..
Heads...
Tails....
It lands on tails. I groan wanting to know what the question was.
"Can you pleeeeeease just give me a tiny hint?" I beg.
Blaine shakes his head stubbornly, "Nope! Okay, okay, I have the perfect question for you!" He leans over to me and I feel his breath against my skin. "If you could take one person to a deserted island who would it be?"
I ponder on the question for a second thinking about my options thoroughly, "Probably either Wesley or you."
He nods his head, "Interesting."
"I'm boooooored!" Jeff groans.
Wes clears his throat, "That's great because the next thing on the agenda is actually truth or dare! Then after that, we will watch the movie."
I start to stand up, "Yeah, sorry I'm out. I'll go get some of the snacks ready."
"But Kurty!" Jeff whines. "Whyyyyyy?"
"Oh, no, no, no thank you. Trust me if you ever end up playing with my brother and Puck you will never want to play again," I shudder images of clothes being destroyed and disgusting food combinations being eaten.
Nick ends up standing with me, "I'll come help you, I'm not sure if I want to risk being embarrassed in front of all of you."
I smile grateful for the company, Nick and I make our way to the student used mini kitchen. I don't really know him that well so it is a bit awkward. I can't help but think about what type of questions and dares those ridiculous boys are doing.
Nick clears his throat, "So, Kurt, how are you liking Dalton so far? I know it's a big change from your last school."
"It is definitely different. Not better or worse, just different. I'm trying to blend a bit more with the Warblers. When I was in McKinley's glee club I had to scream to be noticed," I explain.
"Yeah, that's not really the purpose of our group," he laughs. "We try to all work together, that's why we have a council. We all get an equal say and we try to even out who gets solos as much as we can. Although somehow Blaine seems to get the majority of them."
I giggle, "I always wondered if he was blackmailing Wes, to be honest."
Nick grabs the microwave popcorn and places it in the microwave, "Oh my gosh! You are so right! I never thought of that. What do you think he's got on them?"
"Maybe David has some, like, secret agenda to overthrow Wes and Blaine found out!" I theorize.
He starts to jump up and down, "And Wes probably has like the biggest crush on Taylor Swift!"
"Who doesn't?!" I squeal. "My how my celebrity crushes have changed though."
"Oh yeah, same. I mean Zac Effron gorgeous am I right?"
"God, I would kill to be as good looking as him."
"Who says you aren't already?" Nick teases.
A blush blooms across my cheeks. I focus my attention on seasoning the popcorn and adding different candies to a bowl.
He smiles nervously, "Sorry, I made things awkward didn't I? Ask Blaine or any of the guys I just sort of have a naturally flirty personality. I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable or anything. I have eyes for someone else."
"It's okay, I was just caught off guard. And if you don't mind me asking who is the mystery boy?"
"Jeff."
"Awwwwwww! You two would be soooo cute together!" I coo.
This time it is his turn to blush, "Shut up."
I laugh and take the snacks in my arms telling Nick to grab drinks. We make our way back to the common room. The lights dim just as we walk into the room, Blaine looks a bit guilty as I hand him a bowl of popcorn. I glance at him a bit confused as I hand the rest of the snacks out to the rest of the guys. I'll interrogate him later.
We start the movie, apparently, it's some intense action-packed movie with superheroes and stuff. I can't help but glance up from my Vogue magazine whenever Captain America or Tony Stark comes onto the screen. I mean have you seen them? These types of movies aren't really my cup of tea, I like to stick to classic Disney movies or rom-coms. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Jeff hiding his face in Nick's side a bit scared. I haven't known them for long at all but I can tell that they are meant for each other. The movie ends and we all bid each other goodnight, Blaine and I make our way up to our dorm. Like the gentleman, he is he offers to carry the blankets I have. I nod but keep my pillow in my hand so I don't feel completely helpless.
"Hey, so, is there a reason you were looking at me so weirdly when I came back into the room with Nick?" I ask.
He shakes his head quickly like he is hiding something, "It's nothing!"
I look at him skeptically but drop the subject. After going quickly through our night routines we say goodnight. As soon as my head hits the pillow, I am out like a light.
New chapter! Hope you like it!~Lacy
