chapter 76

draco sits up a bit and stares into my nervous eyes. he smiles at me before slowly grabbing the vial and unscrewing the cap.

"drink this and then lay down." he explains ushering for me to sit up a bit.

i let out a shaky breath and sit on my knees, draco directly in front of me.

"are you sure about this?" he asks. putting a hand on the side of my neck while his thumb caresses my skin. draco's eyes then flicker from one of my eyes to the other, trying to read my expression.

"i want to see my mom again, im ready draco." i say, kissing him on the cheek, while my hand cups the side of his face.

he grabs my hair and pushes me onto his lips. i can tell this is an emotional kiss- not the type to have fun or anything. but it's like he's putting every emotion he has into this kiss. it's far from simple, this kiss is complex. it's what i love about draco, he's never simple. he's always been complex.

i slowly pull away and smile up at him.

"i'll see you on the other side draco."

he smiles, his fingers brushing hair behind my ear.

i finally bring the bottle to my lips and down the liquid, never breaking eye contact with draco. he grabs my arms and lowers me to the ground quickly. i lay on the cold wooden floor, my head feeling like it's spinning.

i can barely keep my eyes opening but i make out draco looking down at me. a tear is running down his cheek.

why is he crying?

"i love you." is the last thing i hear from him before everything goes dark. im glad i heard his voice before it happens.

it's feels as if i am emerging from deep waters. finally getting to the surface after so long. it feels weird like im waking up to something new. like i have a new body, a new mind. the feeling of getting a new life- well i guess it kinda is.

the first thing i hear is silence. then i start to hear beeps. but the beeps are spaced out a couple of seconds.

beep......beep...beep...beep.

my eyes are closed, so all i can see his darkness. i kind of don't want to open my eyes, im a little scared of what i'll see.

will draco be right beside me? or will he be somewhere else in the world. how does this stuff work.

"shes conscious!" i hear a woman's voice yell. those two words force me to open my eyes.

the first thing i see is a white wall. then i see men and women flood in to where i am.

doctors?

"her eyes are open, she's responding." i hear another voice say with a tone of urgency.

what the fuck.

where am i?

i move my head a little to the side, expecting to see draco standing beside me. or maybe cuddled close to my side, like we were in that fateful treehouse.
