Chapter 50

Lauren's P.O.V

I feel like it took forever for Christmas to get here but it's finally here. Thanksgiving was okay this year. We went home to see our parents for Thanksgiving but this year, I think only my parents are planning on coming out to see us for Christmas. That's still up in the air though because of the weather in Miami. It's supposed to be raining that's going to last for 3 days and today is the 23rd so I'm not counting on them showing up since they normally drive. Dinah and Ally are over now. The kids are playing in Sierra's room, except for the baby, who is asleep in my bedroom, and Aiden is at one of his friends house.

"I suggest we open a bottle of wine." I say as I walk into the living. Mani is sitting in the recliner and Ally and Dinah are sitting on the couch. Mani's stomach is poking out a little more but you wouldn't think she was pregnant.

"Not all of us can drink Lo." Mani says and I huff.

"What's the point of being an adult if I can't do adult things?" I respond.

"I don't care if you drink. Just stating, that I can't drink." She says with a small smile on her lips. She's fucking adorable.

"Why can't you drink?" Dinah Jane ask and Ally gasps, causing all of us to look over to her.

"You're pregnant?!" She shouts and Mani and I laugh as she nods her head.

"Yes." Ally almost jumps out of her seat and hugs Normani, while bouncing up and down.

"Yay! I get another god child! How far along are you?" Dinah Jane asks. Normani giggles as she returns the hug.

"That's great, congratulations you two! Now we really have a reason to open some wine." Dinah Jane says and I go to the kitchen to grab a bottle and some glasses.

"I'm already ahead of you Hansen." I say as I come back. I sit the glasses down on the coffee table and open the wine bottle.

"Why didn't you guys tell us?" Ally asks as I hand her a glass.

"We wanted to be sure everything was okay before we told anyone." I tell her as I pour Dinah a glass.

"Yeah, apparently I'm old so we're being monitored very closely." Mani says as I hand Dinah her glass.

"Old? You're not old." Dinah says before taking a sip. I pour myself a glass then walk over to Mani, who unconsciously stands up. I sit down and she sits in my lap.

"After 30, it's consider too damn old to have a baby in the medical world." I tell her as I wrap my arm around Mani's waist. Mani lies back against me and I rest my head on her shoulder.

"So I assume everything is good then?" Ally asks.

"Yeah, baby is doing fine and life is finally getting back to normal."

"Yay! I'm glad you guys are happy again." Ally says causing me to chuckle.

"So, how has being parents of two been working for you guys?" Mani asks.

"I didn't think I would be this tired." Dinah says and Ally nods in agreement.

"Yeah but Brandon is a great big brother. He's so careful with her and he helps out a lot." Dinah says.
