Chapter 52

Lauren's P.O.V

Well Christmas was a bit of a mess or should I say the day before Christmas. I guess it could have been worse. I could have a drug addict for a son but apparently I just have a very lost teenager trying to cope with life. I guess I'll take that. New Years went a lot better, even though I didn't drink like I wanted to. Mani made me feel bad about drinking in front of her the last time so I haven't done it again. Plus, if you drink alone, you're an alcoholic. If you drink with at least one other person, then you're a social drinker.

Aiden seems to like his therapist but it's still to soon to see if it'll help him in the long run. I can say that he has had way more days being the kid I raised, than days where he's the fucking hulk. The kids are back in school now so I can go back to having some time to myself. Normani has been in the office a little more than I would like but she seems to be happier too lately. I don't wanna jinx it but things are looking up for the Jauregui clan.

Normani came home from work about 15 minutes ago and went to shower. Aiden is in the kitchen with me doing his homework with his headphones in while I cook. That's the only way he can have technology while he's grounded. Sierra is in the living room playing with her slime at her designated slime area. There needed to be an area after I woke up with it in my hair, it somehow got all over every writing instrument we have in the house, the floor, in the drawer with the silverware...the list can go on but I think I've made my point. Jordan is in his room I think. Not sure, haven't checked in awhile but I'm sure he's around here somewhere. Mani comes in to the kitchen in her pajamas, trying to put her hair up into a ponytail. I turn down the speaker I'm playing my music on in case she wants to talk. Normani finishes with her hair and comes to kiss my cheek.

"Be careful. Small things like that is how you ended up like this." I say then poke her stomach. Mani is definitely showing now but still relatively small. We know the sex of the baby but decided to keep it a secret since this is the last one and we've never done it before.

"You're such a perv." She says as she walks away from me. I laugh to myself and stir the noodles boiling in the pot.

"So I meant to tell you." I say as Mani leans against the counter.

"What?" She asks with interest.

"I just took a DNA test." I look over to her and she knits her eyebrows in confusion. I try to fight the smirk on my face but I fail. I take a step back from the stove and face her then I sing.

"Turns out, I'm 100% that bitch!" I move close to her and roll my body against her and she laughs after trying to keep a straight face.

"4 words. I. Want. A. Divorce." She says as I laugh and take a step back.

"Why? Because the truth hurts?" I say and she smiles trying to hold back her laughter. I start flossing and then I keep singing.

"You could've had a bad bitch, non commital." Jordan literally slides into the kitchen with his speaker in his hand playing the song. Then he quickly sits it down and starts flossing with me.

"Helped you with your career, just a little!" He sings as we dance. Normani laughs and I take a step back as Sierra runs into the kitchen and joins us with her own dance.

"You're 'posed to hold me down, but you're holding me back." I sing.

"And that's the sound of me not calling you back." Jordan finishes. I make my way over to Aiden who has been watching but hasn't said anything. I pull the headphone out of his ear and sing to him.
