"Alright... so here's my idea..."

(Y/n's POV)

"...I can blend in with the wildlife here, so I thought 'Hey, why don't I find our targets?' because I can easily find you afterwards, and this place isn't terrible for finding people, especially if they are going to be in a group of three. It would be a lot easier than just wandering around for days looking for our targets."

Killua nodded in agreement, but the he shook his head. "I don't like the idea of the possibility of you getting hurt an not coming back. How do you know someone won't figure it out, or just try to kill you for food?" He frowned.

"I actually thought of that! So, you see, I can stay pretty far away and still be able to see them, so even if they did, they probably couldn't hurt me unless they were amazing at hiding their presence and that of their weapons! Which is really unlikely for those three. And I'll be staying far away from everyone else, so I should be fine!" I smiled, proud I had thought this through as much as I had.

He slowly nodded again, thinking it over. "Fine. But I want to be able to know where you are and if you are okay, or at least some way for you to say if you get caught or hurt or anything."

"Got that too! Here, take this." I handed him a small square object that looked kind of like a phone.

"What is it..?"

"A tracker. I have a chip in my necklace," I pointed at the small collar-like necklace I had worn for years. The tracker used to be a tool to find me for the staff at my parent's house until I learned about it. "You'll be able to follow behind me, and if any harm should come to me, the dot will become red instead of green. It will do that too if I'm giving off too many stress hormones."

"How and why do you have a tracker-?!?" I ignored his question.

"Also- ..." I froze. I heard a soft hiss coming from behind me. "S-snake..." I whispered. It was about three meters behind me. I stood completely still.

"Y/n..?" Killua looked concerned. "Are you okay?" I shook my head and turned into a bluebird like before and flew way up above the tops of the trees so if that snake managed to make it's way to me I would be able to see it and escape, maybe killing it in the process. I stayed up there until I heard a voice calling me.

"IT'S OKAY NOW! IT'S GONE!" Killua shouted up to me.

(Killua's POV)

~Five minutes prior~

Y/n just... disappeared?!? I heard a soft hissing behind me and turned, seeing a snake staring at me. Ah... she doesn't like snakes, then. I'll keep that in mind. It lunged at me and I sliced it in half before it got even close. I sighed and got rid of the snake's corpse, then wiped it's blood off of my hands.

"IT'S OKAY NOW! IT'S GONE!" I shouted, hoping Y/n would come back. I saw a bluebird slowly make it's way down to me, changing into a slightly larger cat than normal as it reached the ground. She slowly made her way over, glancing over every detail around us, scanning for the snake.

She turned into herself again and sighed. "T-that scared me... I really don't like snakes..." I smirked at her.

"I realized that." I laughed. She glared at me and then dusted off the knees of her leggings. Her nose was slightly red and I had another one of those weird urges to touch her, to reassure her, to make her feel better.

"Anyways... I think I'm going to head off and look for them. Just as a warning, I'm kinda fast in the form I'm going to be taking." I smiled at her.

"I think I'll be fine. I'm going to stay about a mile or two away from you." She nodded and then turned into a small bobcat looking animal. She gave me one last look and ran.

(Y/n's POV)

~Five hours later~

I yawned and stopped. The sun had gone down a while ago, and I had just barely found them. By the smell, I found that they were starting to settle down for the night. It would be easier to get them while they were asleep, or at least tired, but it would be less fun. I turned into my normal form again.

Killua must have noticed I stopped, because he ran over and caught up pretty quickly. "Y/n!?! Is everything okay!?"

"Yeah. They stopped for the night. Do you want to attack them now, or do you want to sleep and have more fun attacking them tomorrow?" I asked. He furrowed his brow, thinking. I watched him quietly, appreciating having him close to me again. I had to admit, I had been a little worried about him myself. I knew he was an assassin and stuff, but... I couldn't help it, I guess.

"Let's go to sleep. You're right about it being more fun to attack while they are awake." He grinned. I smiled at him for a second before yawning. I rubbed my eyes and rubbed my arms. "You tired..?" He said softly. I nodded, yawning again.

I felt his arms wrap around me and he pulled me closer. "Good night, Kitten"

"Good night, Killua..." I drifted off slowly. And thank you...

(Killua's POV)

This was the chance I had been waiting for, a time where I can wrap my arms around her and she can sleep next to me, but not as a cat, as herself. I placed a hand on her forehead, letting my fingers weave their way through her hair. It was soft under my fingertips. She relaxed at the touch, making me wonder if she just fell asleep or actually liked it.

I smiled at her, watching as her chest rose and fell with each nearly silent breath. She looked so peaceful... it made me feel calm, making me fall asleep on accident. My Kitten...
