Chapter 26

Ok how the fuck did I not post this?

Tord's POV

I slowly opened my eyes, the sound of a heart monitor filling my ears. I quickly adjusted to the light and looked around the room I was in. I was awake. It wasn't in that place anymore. I was alive. I looked at myself, I still layed in the hospital bed

I glanced at my right arm, it was gone. And there was no replacement, just a stub. I looked at my other arm, the IV was connected to it. I also saw the nurse button on the small table next to the bed. I reached over and pressed it a few times

I sat back and stared at the door until a nurse came rushing it. She saw me awake "Oh! You're finally awake sir!" She said then came over to me

I nodded slowly "Yea.." I said

"I'll go get a doctor. Wait right there. I'll be right back" She said

I nodded and then she left the room. Soon she came back with a doctor "Oh. Lawson, hello" He said grabbing a clipboard

"Hi" I said and waved a bit

"How are you feeling?" He asked

"Weird" I said and then looked at my arm "And also that feels weird" I said

The doctor nodded "My name's Damien by the way" He said "But about your arm, we had to amputate it since we couldn't save it" Damien said

"Understandable.. How long was I out?" I ask

"Few months" He said

I nodded in response

-Time skip-

I had to stay in the hospital for a few days before I was allowed to leave. Most of the time I had slept, well if I wasn't being talked to. Edd, Matt and Tom didn't visit and I didn't tell them I was awake. They were listening to what I said

And plus, I can't go to the right now. I need to go to the Red Army. I need to get myself fixed up. Damien had let me go. I had my old torn up hoodie. I'm not throwing it out. It caries to many memories

I put it into my hoodie pocket with my other things and began walking towards our old house. I need to go to the hill to get a robot arm before going to the Red Army. I also need to avoid running into the guys, I don't want to explain where I'm going and make them think wrong

After a while I was there. The parts were still all there. I began looking around for an arm that isn't attached to the robot. When I checked the head my heart fell. The harpoon was still there. And it game me a flashback to when Tom shot it

I shook my head and moved away from it. I lifted up the broken parts to find nothing. And in the end, I found one, a little mangled but I can fix that, on the grass in the open. I picked it up examining it before putting it in my hoodie pocket. All I needed to do now was get my car and I can leave to the Red Army

Last place I remember my car being is near the house. I look over, ok so it's still alright.i just got to go get it now. I let out a sigh and made my way towards the house. I arrived there in a bit and went to my car. I fished out my keys from my pocket and unlocked the door before climbing in

I shut the door and gripped the wheel sighing. I started the car and began driving. I wonder if the Army misses me or wonders when I'll return. Are they glad I'm gone? Are they worried about me? I wonder what Pat and Paul told them.. Well, I'll find out soon

-Time skip-

After a while of driving on seemingly endless roads and through the woods. I was now in front of the Red Army. At the gates. One of the guards that were at the gates walked over to my car as I rolled down the window with my one arm. They're names were Jonathan and Evan

They both had rifles and other weapons that weren't visible other than a pistol. They also wore masks "What brings y-" Jonathan stopped "Red Leader?" He said

I look at him "Yea" I said

His eyes widened a bit "You're back sir!" He said, I nodded

"Yea, I am. Could you open the gates Jonathan" I said

"Right of course sir" Jonathan said then he told the ones operating the gates to open them

He moved back a bit and the gates slowly opened. I drove through, them shutting behind after my car passed. I parked where I usually park it and turned off the car before climbing out. I locked the doors and let out a sigh before going into the base

There weren't many soldiers roaming the halls, most likely since it's dinner for them. Tho, those who were in the halls saw me. They stopped and stared at me in shock and surprise. Then they saluted me. I grin and head off to my office

I walked into my office. Paul was sitting at my desk doing paperwork. When he heard the door open he looked up about to speak but stopped, his eyes widening when he saw me. I wave a bit

"Hey Dad" I said

He stood up and went around my desk then ran over hugging me "Oh my god Tord you're ok!" Paul said

I stumbled a bit from the hug put pat his back softly with my hand "I am. I'm not going down that easy" I chuckled. I look around my office, no sign of Pat. Where is he? "Hey where's Pa?" I ask

Paul pulled away "Oh! He's in our room, I'll go get him! Stay here" Paul said before hurrying out of my office. I chuckled rolling my eyes and walked over to my desk

I stack the papers Paul was previously working on and moved them aside. I sat down and pulled the robot arm from my pocket setting it onto my desk. I sat back and let out a soft sigh
