Broken Pasts (Loki x OC)

Like everyone expected, Fury called an avengers meeting but did not include any details about what will be discussed.

"Lady Epin!" Thor bellows loudly when she enters the room. She rushes to his side and goes in for a hug which Thor gladly returned. They had a good friendship since they bonded over being higher beings in the galaxy. You know being immortal and all, with powers. Epin pulled away slightly but just enough so she could put her head on Thor's chest as she watched the others file into the room.

"Everyone sit." Fury states coldly and Epin teleports over to her chair making Nick roll his eyes as he places his palms on the glass surface of the table. "As some of you know, we have Loki in our possession. It has come to my attention that he will be staying here on earth until he can use his abilities for good. So it's our job to keep him away from the public and under our surveillance until he has a change of heart. AKA keep him in his cell until he dies."

"There will be no such thing happening. My brother will turn, he can be good. I know he can. I have seen it before when we were children." Thor defends his brother and Epin rolls her eyes at this. There is no way the man who caused the attack on New York can all of a sudden want to be good.

"Regardless of the outcome here, I need someone to watch over Loki in his cell and keep him from causing problems. I don't have time to deal with another war occurring right now." Fury states and immediately all eyes land on Epin as she stares at the table with a blank face, zoning out of the conversation. When she is greeted with silence she looks up to see everyone looking at her. She shakes her head.

"No, why me? Look I really have nothing against Loki but I know he can be annoying and I don't want to be a babysitter!" She raises her voice as her eyes flicker in between Thor and Fury, the only two who will really have a say in this decision. "Come on! He is Thor's brother, let him do it!" She adds to her argument.

Thor sighs before making a very good point. "You need to do it because I will only make him angry."

"I am the most irritating person here, I manage to piss everyone off, just ask anyone at this table!" Epin tries to reason back as Steve attempts to hide a laugh that slips past his lips at Epin's words.

"Yes, but you are also a goddess and have powers that will keep you safe and with you being yourself, you will be able to put up with a sassy attitude since you have an even worse attitude. Also I know you don't see him as 100% evil and he needs that." Thor states sounding less and less likely to choose anyone else for this job.

"Just because I can control people with my mind does not mean that everything will be perfect and dandy!" She almost yells and Bruce looks at her with shock.

"Wait, you can control people with your mind? I just thought you could read emotions and stuff and manipulate people really well. That's like a whole different level of mind powers and telepathic abilities!" He says in shock and Epin gives him a gentle smile.

"It's very hard to do and it really tires me out and it's not like I have even controlled any of you before. Not that you would remember at all anyway." She says quietly before adding, "What if I kill him......on accident?" Epin says now standing from her chair and raising an eyebrow at Thor and Nick who stands at the head of the conference room.

"You won't Lady Epin. This I know." Thor says not realizing the hidden threat in Epins words.

"We don't have time to discuss this much longer, are we done here? This is your new assignment and that is a direct order Epin." Fury asks looking expectantly at the goddess and she glares at him with her jaw clenched.
