Over the next three days, Loki never left the medical wing. Epin lies in the hospital bed, stable and slowly getting better but Loki watched over her as if she was never going to wake up again. Thank the heavens she is a Goddess because the explosion would have killed any mortal. He currently sits in a small chair pushed up against the hospital bed and his arm is draped over the blanket that is covering Epin. His hand is underneath the edge of the blanket, gripping onto her hand in worry. Epin has managed, with one action, to break the God of Mischief.

"Darling, please wake up." He whispers and gives Epin's hand a squeeze. "What are you doing to me? I have never felt so weak. You have broken down all of my walls and I am terrified that I may lose you. Please, darling, wake up for me. I...I can't lose you E." He finishes and his eyes tear up.

Loki leans forward in his chair, his head drooped and forehead pressing into the sidebar of the bed, feeling nothing but pure defeat and desperation. In some wicked way, he wishes he had never met Epin, because then she would still be in full health, he would still be himself, and they could both coexist in different parts of the galaxy peacefully. He feels guilty for wishing he had never met Epin because in reality, the only thing keeping him alive at this point is the fact that Epin walked into his life. It wasn't long until his three days of no sleep became too much to handle and he ended up falling asleep with his hand in Epins. Thor had been watching from outside the door for a few minutes as his brother fell asleep and he had never seen his brother so broken. So lost and hopeless.

"Loki. You need to eat. Please brother." Thor says, placing a hand on his brother's shoulder to wake him up. Loki flinches at the touch and Thor looks down at his brother and sees it clear as day how destroyed he is over the fact that Epin is hurt.

Loki glances from Thor to Epin and just stares at her face in silence for a few minutes. He wishes he could see her bright blue eyes shining up at him. Her face looks paler than normal, all the color gone. Her normal brightness that she brings to Loki is dimmed and her lips that are normally in a small smile, are in a monotone, flat, expression.

"No, I am not leaving E." Loki responds almost immediately. Thor sighs, knowing this is what Loki would say. Afterall he has been trying for the past three days to get Loki to eat, drink water, and do as simple a task as sleep.

"Loki, do not make me force you to eat something. I will not sit here and watch you slowly kill yourself." Thor demands with more conviction in his voice. Loki groans and decides if he gets something to eat he can shortly get back to Epin undisturbed for some time. Just him and Epin.

"Promise me you will stay here with her." Loki demands before moving an inch.

"Of course brother. I will bring Steve in as well." Thor insists and only then does Loki even think to move away from Epin.

"Fine." Loki mumbles as he stands from his chair for the first time in hours. He stretches his back and gives Epin's hand one last squeeze before very reluctantly walking away.

He makes his way to the kitchen as fast as he can. Upon arrival, the other avengers all watch Loki as he gets a glass of water and a pop tart.

"How is she?" Banner asks, trying to get Loki to act normal for the first time in days. Loki glances up at the group that is walking over to the kitchen island. Natasha, Clint, Sam, Tony, Bruce, and Fury all walk over to him. Loki watches with a close eye and everyone can tell he is not in a good mood.

"She is unconscious in a hospital bed." Loki practically spits. "I should be getting back to her." He adds and Tony takes a step closer to him to stop him.

"I think you need to sit and eat for at least 10 minutes. Just ten minutes away from Epin. Some separation." Tony says carefully as he eyes Loki's appearance. It was clear to everyone that he has been depriving himself of basic needs. His under eyes are dark and his cheeks look slightly sunken in. Something about his green eyes are less bright and he overall looks run down and beat. His guilt is written across his face in big bold letters. His mischievous aura was long gone in this instance and it made Loki come across as human for once. Everyone was concerned and that says a lot considering they have all tried to kill each other on more than one occasion.
