Hey guys!! i'm so sorry i haven't updated this in so long omg i've been overwhelmed with school and i have the ACT and SAT coming up in the next few weeks!!! ofc i stupidly chose online college courses for my junior year as if they don't require WAAAAY too much time. i will try to update somewhat regularly again!!! i love all of you vvv much <333

"Draco!" I say, his hands resting on my chest.

"Only joking." He laughs, starting to actually zip the dress up. "Kind of." He mutters quietly.

"I heard that!" I laugh.

"Maybe afterwards I'll have better luck..." He says as he finishes zipping me up. He takes a step back and I admire him shirtless, his abdomen surprisingly toned with a nice set of abs. Not overly muscular, but built in a slim way.

"Finally I get to be the one to take you to a ball." Draco says eyeing my dress. "It killed me to see you in my color with Diggory."  His voice has a possessive growl to it. I roll my eyes at him.

"Should've asked me then instead of Pansy." I say with a hint of jealousy evident.

"Bleh. Don't remind me about her." He says with a shiver in disgust, making me laugh.

"How do I look?" I ask, spinning around in my dress.

"Perfect. Stunning. Dashing. Gorgeous." Draco lets out a long string of compliments as he walks towards me. His hands find my waist and mine his chest and he kisses me softly. My hands explore his chest and torso, feeling every muscle ripple under my touch.

"As much as I love seeing you half naked, you need to get dressed, Draco." I say laughing slightly. He nods and sighs, not wanting to pull away from me. I turn and grab my heels, sitting back on the stool by his vanity to slide them on.

I watch as Draco buttons up his white undershirt and adjusts the collar and sleeves, before pulling the under layer suit jacket on, it being white. He buttons that too, making the robes more fitted, and walks to his closet. He looks between a black and green bow tie, glancing back at me before pulling the black one out.

He ties it before shrugging his black dress robe on and adjusting it in a mirror. I slip my heels on and he slips his dress shoes on and I walk over to where he's standing at the mirror.

"Look at us. We make a hot couple, don't we, darling?" He asks as he kisses me on top of my head.

"I'd say we do." A smile graces my face and Dracos as well.

"Shall we head downstairs?" Draco asks. I look at the clock and see it is 3:43. Fuck.

"I guess..." My anxiety shoots back up.

"You got this, Y/n." Draco reassures me as he leads me out of his room and down the stairs. As we descend, I hear a distinct cackle float up. Bellatrix.

"Mother?" Draco calls as we reach the end of the stairs.

"Oh, Draco!" Bellatrix responds. Draco follows her voice and we end up in an extravagant ball room.

"Aunt Bella." Draco greets the woman. She is more formal than usual, wearing a formal black dress and her hair neatly pulled into a bun. The woman embraces him tightly before her eyes land on me, doing a once over.

"And you are Y/n, correct?" She releases Draco and heads towards me.

"Yes ma'am." I say politely. I reach a hand out to shake but she pulls me into an embrace instead.

"Don't be silly, you're Dracos girlfriend, you're family now deary!" She laughs and embraces me. I outwardly laugh while dying inside.

She releases me and looks me over again.

"I can see why Dracos so fond of you, lovely girl, isn't she?" Bellatrix sends a wink at Draco who just smiles somewhat painfully at her.

"Thank you, Madam Lestrange." This isn't too bad. She releases me and I turn to Mrs. Malfoy.

"Is there anything I can do to help out?" I ask nicely.

"If you and Draco could greet our guests that would be great." She smiles and I nod. Draco leads me to the door of the Manor and stands with me.

"That wasn't so bad, was it?" He quietly asks.

"Easy for you to say." I mutter making him laugh.

As people arrive to the Manor, Draco has me hook my arm in his and introduces me to a few people. Blaise walks through the door and looks almost surprised for a second at the sight of me. His eyes trail down my body and back up before greeting me.

"Y/n." He nods.

"Blaise." I response slightly startled at the use of my first name from him. Usually we stick to last names and minimal talking and acknowledgement.

"Hi, Draco!" Comes a shrill voice. I inwardly gag.

"Parkinson." He greets with a nod, looking disinterested. She gets a distasteful look when she sees me holding onto Draco. As she walks away I can't help but look at her. She's.. pretty. I don't wanna admit it, but she is. Draco could've had her....

"Stop comparing yourself to her." Draco whispers in my ear. "You're prettier." A smile coats my face and I'm relieved.

Draco and I begin to socialize.... well mostly Draco socializing and me just awkwardly existing.

"Shall we dance?" Draco randomly asks, leading me to the ballroom where guests are dancing.

"Uh. Um. I mean... I guess?" My voice comes out in a squeak. Draco laughs as he leads me onto the marble floor, my heels subtly clicking, barely heard due to the music.

Dracos hand finds my waist and one of my hands is on his shoulders, I remember what I learned for the Yule ball. Thank Merlin McGonagall taught us how to dance.

We start lowly talking to not be heard over the music and Draco spins me, erupting a giggle out of me and he follows suit. I see his mother and aunt talking as they look over at us but try and shrug it off, straightening my posture.

A certain traditional song comes on and I remember we switch partners during this one which fills me with slight dread... dancing with a stranger doesn't sound fun. With a spin, Draco let's go of my hand and I face the person to my left which happens to be Blaise.

"Hey, Y/n." He says with a smirk, I feel his eyes trailing my body and resist a shiver.

"Hi, Blaise." I response with a polite smile.

"You look..." He pauses and his grip on my waist tightens. "Great... Tonight."

"Thank you." I quietly say. My eyes start quickly scanning the ballroom for Draco, my anxiety rising. I don't like the vibes i'm getting from Blaise right now, especially with his reputation of playing with girls in order to fuck them.

My heart drops as I spot Draco finally.... But he's stuck with Pansy. His eyes seem to be scanning the room as well, looking bored with his dance partner. As we make eye contact, Blaise's thumb starts rubbing my waist where his hand is and my eyes widen for a split second.

"So glad Draco invited you tonight. It's nice seeing a not obnoxious Gryffindor pureblood." I nod curly at his words, wishing the song to end.

"This was.. nice... Y/n." Blaise says as we are about to switch partners. His hand trails up my waist as he initiates the spin and I am pulled into warm and comforting arms.

"What the hell did he say to you?!" Draco violently whispers in my ear.

"Nothing really. Nothing technically bad but he was just..." I shudder at the air he carried.

"Please tell me Pansy kept her hands off of you." I whisper back feverishly.

"I made her. Her hands starter wandering and I cut that off immediately." He says with a face of disgust.

"How?" I ask.

"I'll explain later. Let's enjoy each others company now.... please." Draco sounds almost desperate to be away from her.

Good.

He's my boyfriend, after all.
