"Makaila are you driving with me today or not?", I yell up the stairs.

"I'm coming nai you know I can't leave you on your first day of school back not to mention the crutches",she says as I grab an apple and we both head out.

I throw my backpack in the back with my crutches and drive off towards school.

"Do you think things will be a little different after what happened?",she asks.

"I hope not but it really doesn't matter,hey do you wanna come to the library with me for lunch today?

"Oh sorry I would but I'm going with Tyler today."

"Oh okay I see how it is your just gonna leave me by myself", I say as I fake cry.

Your gonna be fine nai trust me and you can always text me if there's an emergency or here's an idea talk to Matt remember you guys are okay.

"Will do and just because everything's fine doesn't mean it isn't a little awkward to day the least", I say pulling into the school parking lot. I get out and swing my backpack over my shoulders and makaila grabs my crutches for me,saving me from falling in my face.

"Alright let's go,"she says walking a little too fast for my liking.

"Kaila slow down I'm only in crutches you know."

"Oh sorry let me just open this door for you. Now do you need help with your locker or anything?"

"No, I should be fine you just go on to your locker I'll see you at home or later if I see you."

"Okay by nai be safe love you."

"Love you too," I say turning around but bumping right into Cassey making me trip and almost fall...almost.

"Well look what the cat dragged in. Now a little birdie told me that you and matt weren't doing too good maybe he's finally realised that he's too good for you and that your just pathetic."

"Oh so you say well answer me this? Define pathetic?", I say leaning against a locker honestly bored as fuck.

"All I'm saying is stay away from him and we won't have anymore problems got that."

"Oh I'm sure that Matt will stay away from a dumbass bitch who can't even define the pathetic," you're a senior for god sakes.

"Whatever loser",she says flipping her hair.

I rolled my eyes and just walked off not want or having the energy to deal with her today. That bitch really has lost brain cells.

I walk up to my locker to see that Tyler is just standing there impatiently tapping his foot.

"Hey bestie, what's got you so anxious?", I ask him.

"Do you know where makaila is?:

"Just around the corner:,I say smiling at him genuinely.

"Thank you nai," he says walking off pretty fastly.

I open my locker to take my textbook out and a few pencils and put it in my backpack. I then take my jacket off and put it in my locker before closing it and locking.

As I'm locking it miyah comes up to me with a huge smile.

"Ah look who it is? My one and only bestfriend," she says hugging me.

"So shall we get to class?", I ask

"Yeah let's go to class before we're late-"

"Hi you guys",matt says walking up to us.
