You walked into Mr. Banters class confidently the next morning and your friends were right behind you just as confident, but not realizing your confidence was mainly for yourself.

Mr. Banter smiled when he saw you walk in the way you did and knew he as well as everyone else was in for a show today. When class started he had his sound recording set and explained what was going to happen.

"Today is tryouts for solos in Show Yourself from Frozen two. As you all know we will be singing it acapella and need someone to sing the part of Elsa's mom. Including the part of her singing ah-ah ah-ah. We also need someone else who will sings else's part when the rest of the choir is singing: 'where the north-wind meets the sea.' So lots to do today and many people to get through. We will be doing two people at a time. Who would like to go first?" You glanced at Genie and smiled.

Genie was shy when it came to her voice, but when she is with you, Esperanza, Reba, or Kit shes confident.

"No one wants to volunteer? Ok I'll start drawing names from my cup." A girl put her hand up "I guess I'll go first." He smiled "ok and who else?"

Kit raised her hand then went up there. Everyone knew what her voice sounded like and knew if her and Reba both tried out for the parts they'd get it. They had heard everyone's voices except yours and Genies, so everyone knew who had good voices, and bad voices as well as who would probably go on to be famous for their voice. Reba and Kit were two of those people.

When the first two were done Reba and another girl went up and when they were done it left only four people to try out and that wasn't including you and Genie. Everyone else had gone and it left only you and Genie who were nervous, but ready to do this.

"Y/n and Genie. Your the last ones come on up." You got up and Genie followed suit listening to the whole class except your friends whisper and laugh.

The last time you had tried out it went terribly because of how nervous you were, but you weren't going down this time. You replayed Raphs words in your head:

"its so life can prove how tough you are. So far your proving to be the toughest person I know."

You looked at Genie and she was nervous, so you put your arm around her shoulder "you got this." She took a deep breath and let it out slowly before nodding and you removed your arm from her shoulders.

"I bet they sound like a turtle trying to mate with a shoe." They imitated the sound from the video "or a screaming goat." Someone laughed "I'm sure a goat sounds better than them." You bit your tongue and looked to Mr. Banter then nodded, so he started the music, but you missed the start because of the students behind you laughing and making jokes "its ok. We can restart. Genie do you want to switch parts with Y/n?" She hesitated then nodded and he started the music over again and waited for us to be ready before playing it and this time the start wasn't missed and there was silence behind you "you need to be a little louder Genie." She made her voice louder and soon you joined in with her as well as sang your own part and no one said anything once the try outs were over. Reba and Kit on the other hand hugged both of you and said you both did amazing.

"The results will be out in three days and until then we will alternate who sings the parts, so for today let's practice our other songs because we only have two weeks left until our concert and for many of you there will be college choir teachers here to see who they want in their class next year. So the solos in all the songs are the most important ones." Everyone nodded and some girls started talking about they'd do if they were selected "now lets practice our Christmas songs."

POV change

When we got back to the lair the last thing I expected to hear was Y/n fighting with Leo over something.

"Leo I swear I didn't touch your damn space heroes junk and neither did Mikey or my friends. Stop pointing fingers just because you're mad." I walked towards the commotion "well someone did and they tore one of my comics and broke five of my VHS tapes. So it had to be one of you." She groaned "well it wasn't so just..." he continued to argue with her until "STOP. YOU'RE BLAMING EVERYONE AND NOT LISTENING. A GOOD LEADER LISTENS AND WILL HEAR EVERYONE'S STORY BEFORE POINTING FINGERS AND JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS." That shut him up real quick. Y/n was in his face and he scowled at her before stomping passed me and shouldering me as he made his way into the dojo.

Y/n on the other hand was so pissed she started punching the extra dummy in the living room and her stance was perfect as she made quick punches and took quick yet harsh breaths as she did. No one dared talk to her. Not even Reba who was pretty much her sister. Once she was calmed down and wasn't red in the face anymore I walked over to her.

"You ok?" She shrugged "I guess." I chuckled "fearless can be something else sometimes." She nodded "I know, but your no better." I was taken aback by this "what do you mean?" She gave me a blank look "you never want to listen to his simple orders. I have to agree alot of them are pretty stupid, but maybe if you tried to listen from time to time you wouldn't fight as much." I could feel my anger rising "...besides I hate fighting. That's all my mom and step-dad ever did and I hate it. I grew up with it constantly going on in that house from the day they got married. I just...I hate it. I hate yelling, I hate name calling, I hate arguing, I hate everything that has to do with fighting." I felt bad for her now knowing this because I fight with Leo often.

Reba walked over and nudged Y/n's arm making her look at her "remember your supposed to help us with our homework?" Y/n nodded then followed Reba back into her room before shutting the door.

POV change 

I looked at Y/n "we were supposed to be singing three minutes ago." She sighed "I know. I'm sorry." she nodded at April and I was getting ready to take over the radio station "the song we chose was called Thank You right?" I nodded and Reba smiled "thanks. I couldn't remember if it was that one or another one we were singing today." I laughed a little then Kit gave the cue to hack the radio station and I did then made it so our microphones changed our voices when we spoke, but were normal when we sang.

"Welcome to the Christmas take over." I started where Kit left off "With all the problems going on in the city we decided." Y/n followed up "To do something that may lift everyone's spirits." next was Esperanza "Including those of you who already have high spirits because this year this Christmas season is very hard on everyone." Reba finished it off "Especially with all the crime going around. Even those of us in the city who don't believe in Christmas or God deserve to have their spirits lifted this season." We all looked at each other then nodded and started singing.

When the song was over I automatically unhacked the system and allowed the people who actually run it to take over again and almost as if on cue there was a knock on the door and Y/n froze before cautiously walking over and opening it.

"You guys aren't very slick." It was Raph "you won't tell the others will you?" He chuckled and Y/n pulled him and April in the room "ok be honest. Will you tell the others?" Kit had her arms crossed "well no, but you guys need to be doing this somewhere else where they WON'T catch you." He had his typical attitude "well do you know anywhere else?" He smirked "maybe, but-" Y/n cut him off "let me guess it'll come with a cost?" She had attitude with him and he was taken back by it "w-well yeah I mean you won't always-" she cut him off again "can't you just do this thing for us once without it coming with a cost?" He sighed "I guess, but don't expect me to do anything else for you guys unless there's a price to pay." He looked to each one of us and when he did Y/n rolled her eyes at him making all of us giggle including April and that's when I as well as the others decided. She is on one today.
