The crowd was loud. It was in a matter of time everyone flowed in. You and your team were in the hallway of the place warming up. Your coaches were already out there.
Suddenly, the announcer spoke.
"Hello everyone!! Welcome to the finals! Today we have Kaisei Jensen
(random school name, Mei's school)
Along with Aoba Josai! First off, let's see our Aoba Josai girls."
Anami led the group to walk out. Everyone cheering was heard. You walked slightly behind Anami. As you looked around, you saw Oikawa and his team sitting.
The announcer then called out your names. One by one. When it got to you, a bunch of people cheered. Your fan group cheered along with Oikawa being the loudest one.
You gave them all a wink and a smile and went to Coach Ko and Izumi to high-five them. Next, you went to your teammates who already got called.

After that was done, Mei's team went out. Each one of them got called, When Mei got called, she looked at you first with a huge smirk. After everyone got called, they all had a few seconds to meet everyone before the game.
When Mei went up to you, she put out her hand for you to shake. You shook it with confidence which made her mad. Suddenly, she pulled you in slightly closer to her.
"Listen here primadonna girl. Don't act all cocky because you got a new team."
You laughed and yanked your hand away from her.
"Stay mad. Mei." You spat walking away.
She rolled her eyes and walked away from you. The game was now gonna start. There will be a total of 5 sets. Whoever wins the most, wins the tournament and gets to go to nationals.
Set One
Surprising enough, you were up to serve first. You grabbed the ball and bounced it a few times. You then looked at Mei's team. You could see them glaring.
"Wooo go y/n-Chan!" Oikawa yelled smiling.
A bunch of your fans were cheering for you. You smirked and threw the ball in the air. The ball flew a little. With a touch of your hand, it flew over to the other side of the court. Such force.
The ball got received and that's when Mei set up her team. You watched as she smirked when setting the ball. Nothing surprising here, they are gonna use brute force to get their points.
The ball got set and flew to Mei's outside hitter. The ball got spiked and went towards you. You watched as it hit your arms and flew up.
As the game progressed, your team was always up by 1 point. Your team won the first set.

"Wow, y/n looks really determined." Oikawa observed.
"Mhm. I have a feeling they are gonna win." Iwaizumi said.
"I have a feeling too"

More time passed and it was now set 3. For now, the teams were tied with 1 win. You watched as Mei was up to serve. Her serves were quick and harsh. She served it, aiming at you.
You put your hands out to receive it but it bounced off and flew behind you. You scoffed and slapped your arms. Mei gave you a dirty look then laughed with your old teammates.
You wanted revenge. Revenge for her making up that stupid nickname. The nickname she created and made you known for.
"Be that way Mei. I'll play your game" you said dusting off your outfit.
The game went on and Mei's team was tied with yours. That was until you made a stellar play causing your team to be in the lead. Mei was up to serve again. She stared at you and served the ball.
It flew straight towards you. This time, you didn't make the same mistake. Right when the ball was in front of you, you took a step back and received it perfectly.
"WOOO GO Y/N-CHAN!" Oikawa yelled.
The ball flew up right to your underclassgirl and she set it to Sachi who spiked it. When it got spiked, it immediately got received. Mei's team set up their formation. The ball flew up in the air and you knew the ace was gonna hit it.
"ACE!" You yelled.
Suddenly, Naho jumped into the air and one touched the spike. The ball flew into the air out of bounds. You watched in awe, you didn't want to lose. You ran out of bounds and went for the ball.
The ball was out of the court but it had just enough space where you could go back and dive for it. You ran as fast as you could. Right when the ball was about to touch the ground, you dove for it.
You closed your eyes. You felt your knees hit the ground first. When the ball hit your arms, the ball flew back into play. That's when your whole body got flown to the nearest wall. You felt your whole body hit it. What you also noticed is that your nose hit the ground.
You closed your eyes and stayed still. You heard cheering.
"Did we score?" You mumbled moving your fingers.
Suddenly, a ringing went in your ear, followed by calls of your name.
"Y/n!!!"
