~Delilah's POV~

"Are you ready yet? We've gotta get to school before they leave." Luke complained as he laid on my bed in my room, causing me to giggle as I glanced over at him. "You're so impatient." I said with a smile, making sure my jeans looked ok on me before I grabbed my white converse and slipped them on.

"It's because you take thirty years checking out your ass in the mirror. I'll help you, okay: your ass looks great." He told me, earning a laugh from me. "I don't check out my butt." I denied, still smiling to myself. I grabbed a fuzzy white cardigan since it was cold outside today and I had a thin tank top on, slipping the warm cardigan on before I picked up my backpack from the end of my bed. "Now if you're done having a fit we can go." I added, giggling when he scowled and climbed off of my bed. He continued having his little fit until I grabbed his hand in mine and laced our fingers together, smiling up at him as we started down the stairs together.

He drove the both of us to school and parked his car in the lot, my body feeling all giddy as I climbed out of his car. "I'm so excited," I told him, a giggle slipping out before I could control it. Today was the day that we had our field trip to the planetarium, which I felt like I had been waiting years for and not simply a couple of months.

Luke chuckled and locked his car with a simple click to his keys, slinging his long arm around my shoulders to pull me into his side. I felt him lean down a little to kiss the side of my head, nuzzling his cheek into my hair. "I couldn't really care less about this trip, to be honest," He muttered, straightening up again. "But it's worth going, just to see you all giddy like this." He admitted, causing my face to burn. Thankfully when I glanced up at him, I saw that his face was just as pink as mine felt.

I didn't want to tease him about it so I just smiled to myself and cuddled into his side a little more, heading inside with him.

"There you are, slow poke." Juliana greeted me as I walked up to her, Kailee, and Tate with Luke trailing behind me, all of us standing around whilst we waited for the bus to open its doors so we could get on. I wasn't sure how far the planetarium was from us, but I knew I wanted to sit beside Luke, so I stayed close to him. Hopefully they didn't put us in assigned seating, because then it'd be pretty unlikely that I'd get to sit with him.

"Hi, guys." I chirped, giving them a wave. They all smiled and greeted Luke and I, my cardigan's sleeve falling back down over my hand when I lowered it again. I looked away when the bus jammed its doors open for everyone to get on, even the teachers, and let Juli, Tate, and Kailee climb on before Luke and I followed after.

Thankfully they didn't do assigned seating, so I ended up being able to sit with Luke, the both of us huddled together at the back of the bus. I was still feeling pretty tired, so I ended up napping for the duration of the ride, and I only woke when I felt a gentle shake and a hand on my forearm. I peeled my lids open and realized that I was leaning into Luke's side, as I had been sleeping on his shoulder. "Sorry," I apologized softly, pushing my hair out of my face as I sat up and looked at him.

Luke smiled and laced his fingers through mine. "You don't need to apologize." He chuckled, pulling me up from the seat when he stood. "It's not like I mind." He assured, leading me out of the bus. I began to feel a little bit crowded when we were all rushed inside by a couple of teachers, feeling too many people pushing against me to get inside. It was then that I could truly tell that this was the entirety of the senior class around me, and they were all either annoyed or being too rowdy.

I began to feel a little bit anxious, and I assumed that Luke could tell on my face that I was overwhelmed by the crowd because he gently squeezed my hand in his and pulled me a little closer to him. Amidst the slight anxiety, my heart melted.
