Chapter 37:
Ahsoka POV:
I walk out the throne room and the huge doors slam shut.
I feel different...good different.
So many pounds of grief, guilt, anger, and fear left my chest and for the first time in forever I feel free.
I let out a breathe and look around.
There's guards on the ground...dead.
I grab my lightsabers but don't ignite them.
I start walking through the halls and when I hear whispers around the corner, I lean on the wall.
The whispers come closer and when their near me I ignite my lightsabers and jump in from of them.
They put their hands in the air, dropping their weapons.
My eyes widen.
Mom.
I deactivate my lightsabers and hook them on my belt.
I blink. Again. Again.
"Mom..."
She comes forward and a small smile forms on her face.
I wrap my arms around her and my vision blurs.
"Mom..."
She rubs my back and I hold onto her tighter.
"Mom..I'm so sorry..I should ha-"
She cuts me off.
"No. This is not your fault. None of this is." Her tone is firm and her eyes hard.
She kisses my forehead and I let out a breathe.
She turns to the others who have a small smile on their faces.
"Thank you," Mom says to them. "My words cannot express how grateful I am to all of you. Thank you."
They nod.
Bo-Katan steps forward and removes her helmet.
"Thank you, Ahsoka Tano."
She extends her hand and her eyes locks on mine.
I extend my own and hold on to her wrists and give her a firm nod.
"I'll be waiting on the ship," she says and walks away.
Mom clears her throat before speaking.
"Yes, we'll be going to this too." She looks at the others and motions them to follow her.
They look confused but follow.
Rex stops and places his hand on my shoulder.
"You're a badass," he whispers to me and walks away.
I smile and I'm taken aback when I see Anakin leaning on the wall, with his arms crossed over his chest.
He pushes himself off the wall and walks to me.
When he's right in front of me my breathe hitches.
And because I'm crazy in love with him and he affects me so much, I say something stupid.
"Hi."
He chuckles and I feel the heat on my cheeks.
Anakin grabs my hand and kisses it.
He leans in, "Did I ever tell you you're the most gorgeous woman I've ever seen?" he whispers.
"Yes, I'm pretty sure you have." I answer with a smirk.
"I'll never stop telling you how gorgeous you are." His eyes roam my body and I feel hot.
"Those white markings, orange skin, gorgeous blue eyes," I feel the heat on my cheeks getting hotter. "And that blush!" Anakin adds.
I pull him closer to me by his collar and he smirks.
"Just hurry up and kiss me."
He doesn't hesitate and in a second his lips are on my mine.
I grip his hair and he wraps his arms around my waist. Our lips move in a continuously movement. He opens his mouth and I accept his invitation and slip my tongue in his mouth. He feels wonderful. His hands are everywhere, and it doesn’t matter that his mouth is already on top of mine, I want him closer closer closer.
He pulls away but picks me up and I gasp. He smirks and I wrap my legs around his waist. He kisses my jaw and then my neck. He leaves hot kisses on my exposed skin before sucking on it.
Gosh, he's perfect.
I'm in love with this man.
I love the curls in his brown hair. I love his blue eyes. I love his smile and smirk. His laugh. His compassion to others. I love him.
He pulls away, satisfied with himself, before kissing my cheek.
"You think your mom is going to mad when she sees this?"
I look down and see what he's talking about.
He left a hickey.
It's noticeable, very noticeable.
I gasp, "Anakin!"
Je smirks. "I've always wanted to give you a hickey." There's a gleam in his eyes. "And other things."
"Your to full of yourself."
"But you love it."
I roll my eyes because I don't have anything else to say. And because I do.
He wraps his arms around my waist.
"I love you."
His playful expression has changed to a serious one.
His eyes stare in my own.
I wrap my arms around his neck and bring our foreheads together.
"I love you."
